I have been waiting now for 14 days for a refund of a large deposit and I am starting to worry I will not get my money back. If they end up refunding me, it is still good information for others to know, that they will hold onto your money for a two week period even after you canceled despite having a cancellation policy and window. I was not even supposed to travel there for five months from now. I am feeling extremely upset about this.

We got back a week ago after a week on Holbox. We had the bungalow and loved it. The beach was never crowded and right out our door. The staff was helpful, and they even helped round up an island Dr to come see my husband when he felt ill! The walk to restaurants was a nice walk along the beach. The property was well cared for and very clean. The only minor complaint was being told not to hang any damp or wet clothing out to dry, so we had damp clothing all week as they would not dry hanging up inside. We would go back again. There is quite a bit of traffic on the road right in front of the property, but when you are inside, you rarely hear it. Take plenty of mosquito repellent! We had been on the island before soi we knew to do that.

Too pricey for what we got. We had the penthouse which was nicely decorated and the terrace was nice, but for example no closet. We needed to have all clothes in suitcases or on the sofa. Not warm water enough to wash big hair. Breakfast every day same and same time. No one asked if we want to wake up at 8.30 or not. If not everything just let outside. Portions were tiny and for example no juice even if we asked. For that price I really expected a lot of more.

We stayed for 4 nights with our two teenage children. The good: - The hotel makes an effort at sustainability. Ample fresh water is offered in a large ceramic carafe. Containers for glass, cans and plastic bottle recycling were set up while we were there. (What happens to them afterwards was unclear though). Compost is collected. Soap and shampoo are in refillable glass containers. Breakfast items are served in glass Tupperware. The decoration includes plants growing in shells. - Some of the staff, especially the gardener, were very friendly and accommodating. - The room was clean and sufficiently large for our family of 4. The AC worked well. The beds are comfortable. The not so good: - The family rooms are located on the ground floor and are very dark, as surrounded by a palapa roof. It was impossible to tell if the sun was shining or it was raining. Also, you need to have the curtains drawn all the time because the other guests pass by the room to go to the reception (eg for wifi, see below). - The bathroom offers very little privacy (the door is covered by fabric). Also no privacy towards the outside (screen window opening towards the reception area). - There is only wifi near the reception. A few repeaters should be installed around the property. - Mosquitos 24/7. The island is known for being heavy on mosquitos, but this hotel is surrounded by a mangrove swamp, which makes it unbearable. - Breakfast was quite good (fruit, granola, bread), but timing was very unreliable, some variation would have been nice, and the bread became drier and harder as the days passed.

Ma fille et moi avons passé deux nuits à la Casa Takywara. Bon accueil. La chambre très spacieuse avec une petite cuisine bien équipée. Endroit très calme. Petit déjeuner apporté le matin sur la terrasse, simple mais bon. Personnel discret et agréable. Transats et parasols sur la plage. Merci pour ce séjour. Camille et Mireille

A mi esposa la mordió un murciélago en la terraza de la habitación .. Lo reporte con recepción , solo me dieron el numero del medico con el cual trabaja el hotel ,, pague 7000 pesos por medicamentos , Hable con la gerente de nombre Isis Reyes , que como es posible que no adviertan que hay murciélagos y no cuentan con control para evitar este tipo problema , ella contesto de modo molesto PARA OTRA FÍJESE DONDE SE HOSPEDA , como es posible que tengan este tipo de persona nefasta al frente del hotel .. En verdad eviten este hotel ..No se hicieron responsables del gasto ni siquiera el 50%.. ni una disculpa NADA !!!y con una actitud pésima .. Pague por paquete todo incluido lo cual es mentira , al momento de ordenar de la carta te limitan solo puedes ordenar comida como pizza, nachos,, PÉSIMA COMIDA !!!!!!!!!!!!! Según van incluidas las bicicletas para andar en la playa MENTIRA no las prestan ... debes pagar !!!!!!! estoy en tramite de poner una denuncia a PROFECO , y ya levante una queja formal con FONACUR por lo sucedido ... Y lo mas importante la salud física y mental de mi esposa por lo sucedido ...Que debe seguir un tratamiento doloroso para evitar complicaciones por la mordedura de murciélago... Eviten este lugar ..
