I took my son to Hobart and we stayed at the Argyle for 4 nights. Firstly, communication with Ange (the owner) was superb from our initial booking. Our room was exceptional (we had the King with ensuite) and what with the kitchen facilities and free breakfasts (my son enjoyed the Fruit Loops and Coco Pops!) this made the stay not only easy but also very very comfortable. It's also ideally situated in the CBD with a quality coffee shop next door, our favourite food stop 'Dave's Noodles' 20 steps away and a five-minute walk to the harbour. We took a ten-minute stroll to the Salamanca Markets on a wet Friday arvo. I highly, highly recommend this very friendly accommodation. Cheers Ange!!

We stayed here with our dog stay when we were cold and tired after travelling all day. It has been one of the fondest things we remember from out trip to Tassie. Clean basic rooms but central to Hobart's shopping district. Most importantly the owner has a studio room that is pet friendly. Continental breakfast is also provided. It is also directly opposite the hospital and a great place for patients visitors to stay. The owner and staff are friendly and approachable. Excellent communicators. We thank the owner for taking us in that very cold night in Hobart. The only reason for not giving this place 5 stars is just there is no parking. However you can pay for a parking station down the road but it can work out quite expensive (on top of the$150 a night rate that we had to pay). We see here that the rate is cheaper. If it was cheaper at the time we stayed we probably would have stayed longer.

The Argyle was an absolute find!!! We stayed in Studio 1 for 3 days, and had so much space for our family of 4, including 2 teenage boys, access to outdoor space with a balcony - and a beautiful, modern and very clean space. We had our own bathroom, but the setup for shared bathrooms for the other rooms, was excellent. Everything has been thought of - breakfast provisions, danishes, coffee, fruit - and all the plates, bowls, cutlery and glasses you will need. Dishwasher, fridges, coffee machine and microwave - incredible value. Location was fabulous and access made super easy with the high tech panels on all doors requiring a code, or the swipe tag. Loved it. Highly recommend and look forward to staying here again,

Great value family accommodation in the heart of the CBD. The room was spacious and clean. We had our own bathroom and even our own balcony. We stayed in Studio one. Own coffee machine with pods provided. Breakfast was provided. We could walk to a lot of the sites. We were there over the weekend, so found free street parking. There is also free street parking overnight. Would definitely stay again.
