Excellent hotel. The room was excellent and the whole decor throughout the hotel was lovely. The spa on 4th floor was excellent too but would have been nice to have steam room too ( I do appreciate however there is one in basement without clothing). The food was lovely - lovely salad buffet and great soups and deserts. Main courses in the main were excellent - disappointing a couple of nights. The afternoon snacks were excellent. Only a couple of things letting it down from a 5 star review to 4 star. A couple of the waiting staff were not very hospitable and verging on rude. The price of wine was really off-putting - I'd say an average of €60 for a bottle of wine and €7.50 for a 125ml glass. Most nights we were not asked to sign for our drinks and definitely a question mark over our final drinks bill. We barely drank in the hotel due to the costs but we're charged around €200. I would return without question despite some of the negatives.

Edelweiss is a very beautiful hotel, nicely renovated, the rooms are just perfect. And so are the pool and wellness, very well done! The experiences with the staff varied; from friendly and very helpful (waiters!) to some a bit stoic and reserved at hotel-desk. Breakfast was superb! Dinner varied in quality, from absolute dessert joy and treats of meat to not so good sushi and fish. Glutenfree dinner was sometimes challenging, at some point a plate of polenta was presented as dinner. It would have been nice to know up front from the hotel desk that we could ask for glutenfree possibilities with kitchen staff directly, we now learned along the way that kitchen staff was flexible and could make good effort on the glutenfree part, glutenfree kaiserschmarnn was a treat! So communication from hotel desk(with rest of staff?) would be my point of attention. A special mention of the housekeeping staff; we saw them mopping the floors a lot, since the snowboots were bringing a lot of snow, the amount of effort that is put into the cleanliness is commendable, respect! A big thank you to all the staff for a great week at Edelweiss!

We had and 4 day ski trip with our office and stayed at Edelweiss. A very good and well kept hotel with good restaurant. The location was close to the gondola so it was easy to walk. The room was cleaned every day and was equipped with every luxury. Highly recommended!

Very mixed views on this hotel and with some improvements it could be really good. Sadly on this occasion for us travelling as a large party of 13, it didn't tick enough boxes. Firstly the good points: The hotel has been refurbished to a high standard in recent years and has an upscale feel. Rooms are clean and fresh and all appear to have generous balconies with good views. The standard of cleaning was high. The pool, sauna and spa areas are great and offer lovely views back out over the mountain. The massage sevice is also very good and reasonably priced. There was a t-bar lift behind the hotel which provided ski in ski out, however, for beginners and children the nursery slopes are a 10 minute walk away in boots. Some of the ski schools do collect you at various points on the route if you have booked lessons. The bad points: The attitude of the staff was quite mixed. Some were really attentive and friendly whislt the attitude of others left an awful lot to be desired. On one occasion we sat at the wrong table for breakfast which had apparently been set up for evening service. It was an innocent mistake and the staff member virtually gave my wife a verbal dressing down before I intervened and told him having to have to reset a few plates is nothing to get to upset about, after all we were paying guests at quite an expensive establishment. He walked off muttering to himself and shaking his head, which was really un-professional. We were on the half board plan and were expecting better. Breakfast was reasonable, alebit it did take time on occasion for food to be re-stocked by the kitchen, that said there was a decent amount of choice for all. The evening meal consisted of a choice of a meat dish, fish and a vegetarian option. Veal seemed to appear on the menu regularly in various guises and the vegetarian option was limited. You did have the option to order off an a la carte menu and we chose this on a couple of occasions. I was told that a discount would be offered at check out but this wasn't forthcoming. Starter options tended to be various items picked up of the buffet some that looked and tasted like they'd been sitting there for hours and brought to your table. The childrens options never changed through the week and this was quite disappointing. There are no irons or ironing boards in the rooms and seemingly not in the hotel. When I asked for one, I was told that the hotel could take and iron some garments for me at a quite exhorbitant cost. On balance we were slightly disappointed given waht we had paid and would likely try some of the other establishments in the area if we were to return.

I cannot praise this hotel, its facilities and its staff enough. We had an amazing stay here and would come back again and again. We had the Edelweiss Suite for a family of 4 (with 2 teenagers) and it was perfect. Lots of space, loads of storage and 2 balconies! The food was delicious and very creative. The location of this hotel was perfect. 20m walk to the drag lift which connects to the main lifts, or a 5 min walk to the bubble. Excellent!

Lovely family friendly hotel! The rooms were new, clean, nice decor and comfortable for a family of four (we were two adults and two children). The pool and sauna space on the 4th floor was perfect for unwinding after a long day of skiing. The half board meals were excellent and breakfast had a great variety. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located beside a T-bar that takes you right to the main ski resort in Hinterglemm (alternatively it’s a 5-10 min walk (with kids in ski boots) to the Ubahn telecabin and ski circus. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I would definitely stay here again!
