The room was clean, spacious. Remember to take insect repellent and Flyspray. There were alot of mozzies. Couldn't have fan on as was soo noisy like been on the runway at the airport. From the website it looked like easy access to the beach,but that was miss leading, the compendium in the room said otherwise. Lots of do's and don't! Had to pre order our meal a day ahead. A choice of 2 meals, very disappointed and overpriced for what we got.

It didn’t help that it poured with rain from ex tropical cyclone Tam. The room was clean and a good size but no air conditioning and because of the mozzies and flying things had to keep all doors and windows closed overnight. Very stuffy and made for an uncomfortable and fractured nights sleep. Silly point but the curtains were very grey and grubby looking. Quite off putting for me. Lovely outlook. No TV but unlimited WIFI so byod! Mine host Roger was helpful. Dinner was good and plenty of it. Well done Jacinta give that girl a raise!

We did a family road trip around the east cape and we stayed here for 2 nights. The location is magic and the host Roger was very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean and simple but have everything you need to enjoy a very special and unique part of the world. We bought all our food at Opotiki and if you’re nice to Roger he might let you use the cooking facilities in the cafe.

The views are too die for!! amazing, really, disappointed in the room and price. Their was hardly any cooking facility only electric fry pan and microwave , they charged $300.00 for a night no tv ,internet is crap. Only 2 options at the restaurant on the menu fish or pork with salad and fruit salad for dessert $60.00 ahead .No thanks will go somewhere more user friendly, to basic for the price

Beautiful views. Very friendly host Roger in a remote and beautiful place in NZ. Easy to find on the East cape drive from Gisborne to Ōpōtiki. Just sit and enjoy the scenery and unwind. Older style motel, no T.V, but very peaceful. You buy food at TeAraroa four square for your stay.

If you want a laid-back motel experience in a beautiful, secluded setting, this is your place. Our room was lovely, with a view of the water. Nearby, you can walk down to a rocky beach and even locate a small waterfall. The road getting here feels a bit small and precarious, but that's half the fun. What makes this place special is the proprietor, Roger, who is super chill. Don't be surprised if an afternoon slips by as you and Roger chat and share a drink or two. This isn't a place for busy itineraries. You come here to get away from it all in a stunning, laid-back setting. Great value.
