During our road trip through the Basque Country, our stay in Casa La Sonrisa has been the highlight. Arnoud and Desiree make you feel at home in this informal environment, while at the same time providing high quality food, drinks and accommodation. They gave us tailored advice how to discover rural and less touristic Spain and took the time to get to know us. We visited bodegas, swam in waterfalls and drove around in the beautiful nature. Having dinner together with the other guests, Spanish and Dutch, on one big table outside was a great end of our stay. Will definitely return.

If you want great accommodation, great food, great wine, amazing hospitality in a rural setting with lots of opportunity for all types of cycling, walking and birdwatching this is the place to go. Will be back.

I've been here before, with my wife and loved it then. Found an excuse to return, as a group (we were 8 aging cyclists) If you want rural, cosy accommodation with a genuine warm welcome this is THE place Run by the owners who do everything (including excellent food) , they will do what they can to optimise the experience Ideal for cycling, walking , relaxation Small pool paul h Ireland

Perfect villa and perfect rooms. Nicely designed, clean and tidy. Nice little pool and terraces with beautiful peaceful views. Lovely and attending hosts. The dinners made by host Arnoud are really fantastic , made with great taste and local ingredients. The desserts made by host Desiree are fantastic as well. Hosts are wine connoisseurs and serve tasteful wines. Overall a great place to stay, lots of possibilities for sightseeing and hiking.

Ons verblijf was kort, maar zeker de moeite waard. Wat een mooie plek. Rustig, maar in omgeving leuke dorpjes om te bezoeken. Eigenaars geven goede info over wat je kan doen en mooie routes. Ook zeer mooie kamers en ontzettend goed ontbijt en superlekker 3-gangenmenu met amuse tevoren. Bedankt Arnout en Desireé voor dit fijne verblijf.

Hemos pasado dos noches en esta estupenda casa con un niño de dos años. Lo primero que hay que resaltar es la amabilidad de los dueños son verdaderamente encantadores... Las cenas y desayunos son abundantes y riquísimos, incluso le hicieron de cenar al niño sin ningún problema. El hotel está decorado precioso y es muy acogedor. En definitiva un remanso de paz poco conocido y recomendado para pasar unos días.

La casa está muy bien rehabilitada. Las habitaciones son agradables y espaciosas. El desayuno es muy abundante y rico. Nuestra estancia ha sido una experiencia muy positiva. Tengo que destacar la amabilidad y simpatía de Désirée Ceelen y Arnould Manting, las dos personas que llevan ésta casa rural.

Estuvimos cuatro noches en La Sonrisa , oslo recomiendo. Super tranquilo y lo mejor los dueños, una pareja holandesa que da lo mejor de ellos y su casa a los huespedes!!! Comida casera y a un precio razonable. Las veladas especialmente amenas con el resto de los alojados. Gracias pareja por vuestras atenciones y consejos para hacer aun mas grande el placer de viajar. Nos volvemos a ver pronto!!!

Es una casa limpia y puesta con mucho gusto cuyos anfitriones se desviven para que te sientas bien,ofrecen cenas espectaculares a buen precio y te aconsejan sobre lo que puedes hacer.La casa tiene un acceso fácil por una carretera buena y está muy cerca de l desfiladero del río Puron,una ruta preciosa y nada difícil.
