Such a fabulous place to stay. Elizma and Jan are the most welcoming hosts, so helpful with restaurant recommendations, local information and anything else needed. The cottage is beautiful, with delightful gardens to relax in. Access to the cliff path is steps from the front door. Last but not least Elizma’s breakfasts are incredible, you will not need to eat again until dinner time!!

Stay 18.2.-20.02.24 Elizma is a nice and attentive host. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and if you want to spend your stay in a historic Cape Dutch guesthouse, this is the place for you. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely book with Elizma again when we stop in Hermanus. Eckhard & Maria Germany

Breakfast was really fine, room was good and clean, accommodations in a safe location. Restaurant nearby within walking distance. Owner was very attentive to his guests, definitely a questhouse to return to Negative points · We had no complaints, the stay was excellent

Thanks to Elizma and her husband Johann we had a fantastic time in Hermanus. The breakfast was more a brunch than a breakfast, unbelievable selection of food !!! You can even walk to the centre of Hermanus along the wonderful cliff walk, weather permitting...) And thank you for all your help during the hurricane. We will be back

Cliff cottage for us has been the perfect location to spend a couple of days in Hermanus. Our suite has been spacious and tastefully furnished, the garden invites you to relax, the breakfast buffet offers a broad variety of excellent food - but the really unique asset of Cliff Cottage is the couple, that runs this place! Eliza and Johan treat their guests as family members. You get good hints, Eliza loves to book you a table in restaurants or to organize a whale watching tour for you. Even when you get ill, she looks after you by supplying you with adequate medicine. We have enjoyed our stay at Cliff Cottage very much! Rainer and Sissi from Austria

Excellent and ample breakfast, beautifully appointed room, gracious and extremely helpful hostess. Very convenient to town and Cliff Walk.

It was a wonderful time there. Elizma and her family spoil their guests. The breakfast is gigantic, very tasty and everything is freshly prepared. The room was very comfortably furnished, fridge, wine, water bottle everything was available. The location is perfect. Ideal for the morning run and the center is within walking distance

My family of five stayed one night as a first stop on the Garden Route from Cape Town. The hosts were so welcoming and Elizma gave us many tips and recommendations. The decor is traditional and has excellent facilities, whilst the breakfast was a sight to behold. And it all tasted superb. Highly recommended
