The hotel was an excellent choice for me, as I was spending one night before going from China to Vietnam. The border building at the bridge is literally a few minutes on foot, and very easy even with a lot of luggage.
The staff didn't speak English at all, and I also had some problem at breakfast - weirdly, they didn't understand what I want, and I had to use a translator app to tell them that I was waiting for breakfast to be served. It turned out, you need to go to a window and take your soup yourself, they do not serve it for you. (I wonder what they thought: here is this foreigner, who has just come down from his room with no luggage, sat down at a table, and waiting - for what??? OMG, how can some people be so slow witted?)
The room is OK in size, comfortable, but very dark at night, sine there are only two reading lamps. But there is hot water, there is a lift, and the room was clean.
Of course, it is more expensive than many other options in town, but for me, it was worth it.
