Collect keys from the restaurant over the road, and go round the side of the pub to get to entrance which your greeted with a small easy few stairs to go up. We had a twin bedroom number one, bathroom and bedroom was clean with coffee and tea available. Sky TV was a nice addition. You are above a pub and yes I could hear some of the noise but it stop us sleeping, it made us laugh hearing all the karaoke. Good to hear people have a good time.

Perfectly adequate for our requirements Basic but clean Good shower. I imagine it would be noisy on weekends We were out anyway so didn't affect us Easy check.in Parking cross road at restaurant. We were staying for family event so room was used to sleep in only. Main shops etc about 20 minute walk away

The room was comfortable, and warm, but I was glad it was only one night. I needed to keep my bike in the room overnight. Getting it up and downstairs was tricky as there was a sharp turn through a fire door at the top of the first floor stairs. There were a few maintenance issues in the room (radiator) but the manager got a plumber round very quickly to help. The bar downstairs was very busy but the live heavy beat music stopped about 11.00pm. Traffic on the Bothwell Road was a bit noisy in the early morning. A good price and food across the road at The Spice, though I didn't use that facility.

this is a little hidden gem, you think your getting a room above a pub but the rooms are actually round the side & owned by the restaurant across the road who will also bring food to your room, nobody bothers you at all, very relaxed, nice large clean room with large shower room, outdoor area with benches for nice days, plenty of tea, coffee, sugar ect, free WiFi & help yourself to towels when needed, garage & shop just across the road if you need essentials & it's right beside the MOD base so there's plenty of CCTV that makes you feel safe, don't judge a book by its cover

The stay was a game of two halves as on the first night there was absolutely no chance of sleep until 1am as the noise from the karaoke and entertainment pounded through the building. We were in room 3, directly above the music, and it was truly hideous. I did inform the owners but they did not reply. I honestly feel that rooms should not be let out there on nights when there is entertainment. I recorded the noise from my pillow and replayed it the next day-it was so loud! The room was basic but very clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. The other nights were fine noise wise. Parking is nowhere near as tricky as people have made out. Just across the road and very safe. The cleaning lady was lovey and friendly and the staff in the pub, although it was not their responsibility to do so, were responsive to our concerns and kept us informed of future events. They were so friendly. I have no idea re the noise levels in the other rooms as my request to be moved was ignored but would honestly avoid on events nights. Well positioned for our stay and reasonably priced. I would not have paid a penny for the Saturday night if given a choice or response as it was absolutely not a hotel room as described as sleep was truly impossible.

So we booked rooms above The Bay Horse for a Monday and Tuesday. The rooms dont actually belong to the pub but the Spice Restaurant across the road where you get the keys and park your car. There was no breakfast at the pub or food till the weekend, so good job we had family here. Currently listening to rap music from the pub below, currently 11.30pm, so much for a good nights sleep. Wont be staying here again. Good job our border terrier is not faised by the pounding music or it could have been a different matter this time of night.
