I have to say, my overnight stay on a Saturday was quiet, clean and well appointed with no major issues. Parking was easy. Check in and out was friendly and fast. Did not try breakfast. My double room on the top floor was clean, remodeled, well lit and everything worked great. Shower pressure and temps were good. Bed was clean and comfortable. AC worked well even though it would turn off and on throughout the night which is annoying. Very little wear and tear. Provided coffee maker, bathroom toiletries and a table with 2 chairs. Located right off 77 and convenient to a Mexican restaurant and the Knights Hall. A little high priced, but would stay again if needed.

Best Western Hotel Hallettsville Tx. This is a working mans hotel. Rooms had an order, fans and light in bathroom made noise all night. lighting bedroom furniture is very very old. Everything about this hotel should not have the name Best Western attached to it. Are the standards for Best Western had hit rock bottom.

It was dirty and shabby and not at all good. We fled as soon as we could. Ugh. I cannot think of a worse hotel I've stayed at in my entire adult life. We even had to go to the dollar store to buy febreze to stay there. Awful smell, terribly dirty. 0/10. Definitely would not recommend. Ew.

The picture online looked great, but once you got there. Insects in the room from the gap under the door. Furniture Filthy. Horrible smell. The drain in the tub looked like worms on it, because the part to go over the drain broke. There is no way anyone has inspected that hotel since it was built.

Check in was good and friendly,Room cleanliness was good,comfortable bed, BUT:no wifi [Connected no Internet]that worked is a serious pain when trying to arrange the next nights lodging! Breakfast was a sham and toilet stopped up in the morning.

Have used this location for several years. one item stands out. General inspection of rooms should be done by the manager for such items as commodes secure to floor. faucets or showers not leaking. need to test each one and observe operation or look for leaks. Either train the housekeepers on these items. or have the manager check the rooms maybe every twos. Probably not all at once but maybe only a ew each day. Also check the seal under the door to keep out bugs. .
