My husband and I got married here on 3rd June 2022. We have just returned tonight for our second wedding anniversary. We had a beautiful meal, and the staff were just so friendly and polite. Amazing venue for any occasion, and I hope we can return for many years to come. Thank you! Kelly and Ryan Golding

Arrived at hotel and looks quite nice , nice staff etc , I booked into an executive suite and to be fair the room was nice / very comfy bed .. had an evening meal . 8oz ribeye / beef fat chips / salad bowl .. Breakfast was very good / not greasy just the right size portion / sausage / egg / 2 bacon / black pudding / tomato .. and good selection of cereals etc Steak £33.00 ? Very shocked at the cost .. was just ok .. beef fat chips 10/10 Salad bowl again very over priced !! No onion .. All in all was nice room however food very over priced ..

We celebrated our wedding at Holdsworth House last Sunday and I we can say is ‘Wow ‘, it was the best day ever! From booking the venue to the actual day, everything was planned and agreed so effectively and professionally. On the day, everything went so smoothly, the food was amazing, all the staff working on the day were friendly and discreet and couldn’t do enough for us or our guests. Tracey and Jonathan who were the co-ordinators for the day were fabulous! All the bedrooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable.Breakfast which was made to order was hot and delicious. We have no hesitation in recommending Holdsworth House for an overnight stay. If you are planning a wedding this is the place to visit as a ‘must see’ venue as you will be blown away! 8 course taster menu WOW!!! Myself and my husband had the most wonderful evening being wined and dined. Such a warm atmosphere created by the staff. A beautiful place I will never tire of visiting. History, beautiful food and smiling faces, what more could we ask for. Thank you HH

Beautiful traditional hotel. Pretty rooms with comfy beds. Very nice restaurant with good food including a separate vegan menu and gluten free choices. Lovely service. Very friendly staff. Small but lovely formal gardens. And a nice cat!

Just returned from a two-night stay at the Holdsworth House Hotel & Restaurant. What a wonderfully charming and historic listed hotel full of beautiful features and landscaped gardens. We had an executive suite which was very nice, although the bed was a little high which meant that it wasn't the easiest bed to get in or out of. Otherwise the suite was very tastefully furnished with a settee and armchair and widescreen TV. Although there were 2 bottles of water in our room upon arrival, and these were both drunk the first night they weren't replaced unlike the tea/coffee/milk. That probably is our only real complaint. The staff - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, efficient; all of the above from our warm and friendly greeting when we arrived, to the breakfast staff to those who served us at the small bar and in the dining room, particularly Anthony. They really couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of choice from smashed avocado on sourdough, to a full English. We had dinner there both evenings, a Rib-Eye steak on the first night whilst my wife had the chicken supreme and we both indulged with the fish and chips on our second night. All meals were very tasty and couldn't be faulted. All in all a very relaxed and enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for a night, what a lovely hotel, we had an excecutive suite which was lovely and very clean, the only down side for me was the bed was very hard and found this a little disappointing. The staff are very friendly and the hotel and gardens are beautiful. Fabulous breakfast.

We came back from our holiday to discover we had no hot water and whilst I will gladly boil a kettle of water to wash up, cold showers are not my thing! We couldn’t get a plumber to fix the boiler for 5 days so my partner spent an hour googling and discovered Holdsworth House Hotel and we de-camped for a night. It was also my birthday, so he booked the taster menu dinner, bed and breakfast deal. The food was excellent, the wine flight very generous and service was professional yet friendly. In fact that describes all the staff we met. The room was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities were good, the bed huge and after 3 days without hot water at home, trust me, the shower was wonderful. Holdsworth House was a life line. We will return again as we enjoyed our stay and found it a very relaxing experience, but I won’t follow the satnav directions up hill and down dale - safer to stick to the main roads out of east Lancashire!

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff and rooms. It's very quick and easy to get to Shibden Hall, Halifax Piece Hall and Harewood House from this hotel. Staff extremely attentive without being intrusive. Our room was clean and airy. Meals were all really good. We preferred the panelled room part of the restaurant as it was quieter.
