From start to end our stay at La Ville was fabulous. Our room had a picture perfect view of St Anne’s church. We also saw a blonde hedgehog on a wildlife walk in St Anne’s churchyard so we kept watch from our window in case we saw more! Staff very welcoming and very helpful. Happily impressed that the hotel provided complimentary water bottles in the reception. Our room was of a high specification and included a nespresso coffee maker, good quality and varied toiletries, and other welcoming touches. Furnished beautifully, lovely decor and very clean. Breakfast choice was varied, plentiful and tasty. Lovely central location. Definitely recommend!

Amazing from start to finish! I arrived in the early evening and my room key was ready waiting for me. The room was incredibly spacious and very clean. I was in room 102 overlooking the high street and it was so peaceful and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and breakfast was wonderful. There was complimentary water and a drinks voucher offered at the bar next door. I would highly recommend for a stay.

Booked here for our mini moon as I had never been to Alderney. We were allowed to check in early as our room was ready so that was a bonus. We had a suite since it was our honeymoon. It was spacious and clean, same with the bathroom. Breakfast was good. There was a variety of choices from cereal to full English, vegetarian English and many other dishes. The staff were polite and friendly. Since we were off season we were also allowed to check out late. Beautiful island. Wonderful hotel. We would definitely go back.

As previous reviews have said, this hotel is attached to a noisy bar, which is part of the same business. We innocently assumed that being on a small island we would escape partygoers, but we were kept awake two nights running. The first night there were drunks shrieking under the window, as we had been put in a room at the front of the property. Complained to the duty manager but he just said he couldn't do anything about it as the drunks were 'in the other quarter' (what difference does that make if it's the same business? Don't you want your hotel guests to sleep??). The next morning, I asked that we be relocated to a quieter room. The manager working that day did do that for us, and we thought we'd be ok as the new room was at the back overlooking the churchyard...after a peaceful evening exploring the town and the island, we returned to the room about 10PM to find deafening kareoke blaring out from the bar. I've never heard kareoke so loud and invasive! We were both nearly going spare. It didn't stop until 1AM. In the morning, I wearily asked the same manager who moved us if there was any more live entertainment planned. Although apologetic, his excuse for the noise was that we were staying on an island of 2000 alcoholics (!!). Well, sorry, but by keeping your bar open that late and disturbing your guests, how are you managing to keep your business going, and also, aren't you fuelling the supposed alcohol problem?? We just moved to another hotel on the island, which was much quieter and free from caterwauling drunks. Disappointed? Yes. Well, stressed out and worn ragged by lack of sleep, would be more accurate. Go elsewhere!

Can't give this hotel enough praise. From the neat rooms, clean and roomy, to the amazing breakfast and mostly to all the fantastic staff! Who were so friendly and helpful giving us little tips of places to visit and places to eat and drink locally. Thank you, we had a wonderful short break. Xx

Fabulous! Huge room with a lovely view of the church and surrounding area. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast choice… they even had Red bush tea! 👏. Peaceful, comfortable stay. Highly recommended. Thank you 😊
