Have been to the Holguin area many times but this was the first time at Brisas. It would be on my go-to list but not number one. Positives: Food was pretty good considering. Always Eggs ( the omlettes may have been powdered but I liked them. Over easy was real eggs. Always butter and bread which was nice to see. Also fixings for salads which was nice. Rooms were adequate. No problems with power. Had no hot water in the room for 2 days but seemed to be limited to our room. Staff were great - always friendly and helpful. Pools also good. Never a problem getting a chair in the shade at pool or beach. Don't think the hotel was at capacity by far. Buffet and A-La_Carte food was limited but adequate for the current conditions. Very nice to have the walkway by the beach. Can walk all the way to the end of the Muthu beach. Also nice that the beach is the same level as the pool area. No cliffs or stairs. Nice to have bikes available and included. Negatives: The beach, while acceptable was not as good as others in the area. Could not go out very far before getting into sea**** and rocks. hard to ocean swim. No ”pop” at all for the whole week. So need to be creative with drinks, No rum and cokes or cuba libres for example. Buffet area is a bit worn and dated. If you're an early to bed person, might consider NOT getting oceanview. Every night very loud at the theater and pool. Demographic was probably 50% cubans. No problem with that but expect things to be a bit noisier, even in a-la cartes sometimes. just an observation. Most of the week - had only one room key as they ran out. Also most of the week, could not use the safe as they had no key mechanisms. All in all, for the price, it was good value and would return.

I have to say the hotel is excellent,very clean top of the line but the service not so great as soon as we got there we didn’t feel welcomed it was a hustle to check in and Oscar in the reception wasn’t very friendly. Some of the workers are amazing but others not so great is if like they don’t want to serve you, sometimes doesn’t feel like an all included, because food and drinks are rationed by the employees. It can be so much nicer if this little things can be taking care off overall it was a good experience the hotel is impeccable but some of the workers didn’t make my experience or my family the greatest!!!
