벤닉스가르 호텔(Benniksgaard Hotel)

We only had breakfast here two days running however the hotel looked lovely and we plan on staying soon. A typical Danish buffet style breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage oh and pancakes. Also fresh rolls with a choice of meats and cheese, fruits, yoghurts and cereals.

Beautiful surroundings and views, excellent and cozy restaurant, luxury suite was quiet and spacious. Breakfast was very delicious and well arranged.

The restaurant and breakfast ruins an otherwise genuinely wonderful place. Our check-in process was smooth and fast, the room was great. We had a dinner reservation, but they forgot about it, and we had to wait 15 min to prepare a table. The worst part was the breakfast. No options for vegetarians, even the scrambled eggs are served with bacon. They made some clean ones on request. There were some sad vegetables, but it was moldy, so we had to skip it. The served fruit was withered. The guest next to us had to return the soft-boiled egg, because it smelled. I don't know how this place manages to stay open.

We stayed one night on a road trip to the Southern Jutland and the border region. The hotel is located in a small village with few facilities, Rinkenaes, not far from the town of Graasten. Benniksgaard was originally a farm but the buildings have been transformed into a hotel with a beautiful 18 holes golf course situated with excellent views of the Flensborg Fjord. Our large and modern room was located upstairs in a quiet wing. We noted that stairs were pretty steep, but had little baggage ourselves so this was no issue to us. Our stay included breakfast and a “gastronomic three course dinner”, and apparently most guests had a similar dinner. The food seemed to have been prepared well in advance, making the experience okay, but not as good as expected from the description. Breakfast was very good with several hot and cold choices of good quality. Service at the entire hotel was good, alas a bit overenthusiastic to our taste. Had the dinner been better, I would probably have rated our stay higher.

Absolutely terrible. The “stables” building we stayed in was so badly sound insulated that we literally were privy to every conversation in rooms above and around us, as well as snoring, moving of bags, flushing toilets etc. The room was “newly renovated” within the last 10 years, but the renovation was so cheap that it was more about a superficial product than comfort. Bed was so hard we woke up with aches. Picture shows how the “do not disturb” sign fell under the door frame on accident - which just shows how poor quality it was, and how bad the insulation was - zero insulation around the doorframe, as well as really thin walls and no carpet or anything to catch sounds. The staff was overall ok, but mainly summer workers, so any issues were met with “here are some earplugs” rather than proper fixing of the problem. Online they continue to claim “they’re in the middle of renovation” - they are not. Dinner options are not so great. Breakfast was really good though!! Just like everyone says. Other buildings are not as bad, which just shows you cannot count on consistency.

sehr ruhig. Die Einzelbetten sind für große Menschen etwas schmal. Ausser dem hoteleigenen Restaurant gibt es erst sehr entfernt weitere Abendessen-Möglichkeiten (in Garsten). Dafür Frühstück sehr ausgiebig. Personal sehr freundlich.

Hyggeligt og fint hotel med hjælpsomt personale. Rigtig dejlig morgenmad med et stort og varieret udvalg.

Alt var fint, rent og pæn arrangeret på værelset, receptionen var venlig og imødekommende.
