Raise View House

We had a fabulous stay here, Jacky was a fantastic host and provided a delicious breakfast, the perfect start to our days out walking in the hills, it's in a great location, just a short stroll into the village in the evening for meals and drinks. I would highly recommend Raise view to anyone.

We spent two excellent nights at the Raise View House in mid-April. Jackie, our host, was delightful. She provided an outstanding breakfast and was so helpful with her knowledge of the local trails and places to see. The room was always clean, the bed comfortable, and the stay so memorable we hope to return.

I don’t have words to describe just how lovely this place to stay is. Absolutely beautiful, lovely host who just couldn’t do enough. We stayed in the Rothay Suite which overlooks Helm Crag and towards Easdale. The view alone is worth the stay. Rooms are spotless and there is every facility you can think of and if you want something you just have to ask. I didn’t want to come home. Ample choice for breakfast which was all cooked to perfection. After many years of visiting this lovely part of the country we have found the best place to stay and we’ll be back. (If there’s room) Thank you for providing the means to have a peaceful, idyllic break.

We stayed 3 nights in this most beautiful and perfectly located guest house in Grasmere. Our room was really comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were amazing. Jackie is a really friendly and welcoming hostess. Can't recommend highly enough.

A beautiful, clean, and comfortable room! We loved our stay and hope to be back someday. The location and property are excellent! Breakfast was great each morning. Jacky is a wonderful host! I would give more stars if I could... Highly recommend!

The VERY best of B&Bs. A beautiful place, with equally beautiful views. Wonderfully friendly service with the friendliest owner Jackie, providing the warmest of welcomes and information about the area. Was the best start to our first visit to the Lakes we could have hoped for. Bedroom was beautiful and clean with a very modern bathroom and beautiful walk in shower. Cooked breakfast was incredible with a very generous selection to pre order the night before. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Everything about our stay here was great. Jacky communicated so well beforehand. We found the accommodation easily, and check-in was warm and welcoming. We stayed two nights in the Helm Crag room. It was immaculate, clean, so comfortable, and cosy. The view from the window was so beautiful and the weather was amazing. Breakfast each morning was cooked to order, plenty of choice, delicious. Tea and coffee and fresh milk in the room were welcome after a day out walking. Grasmere is a great place to stay. Plenty of things to do and see, lots of lovely pubs and cafes, and a great base for walks. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, Jacky.

We had a really lovely time at Raise View, which is in a great location a short walk away from Grasmere village. We stayed in the Helm Crag room, which was very cosy, comfortable and beautifully decorated with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely bathroom (simplest and best shower control ever!). Everything was very high end and we loved coming back to the comfort of our room with its amazing views. Jacki made a very tasty and filling breakfast which you pre ordered the night before. The whole house is stunning and there is a lovely garden to sit out in and enjoy those views with a glass of wine and socialize with other guests. Jacki is lovely and was always very helpful with recommendations etc. Highly recommend staying here.
