We enjoyed our stay at this location in Robbinsville, so we could start our exploration of the Cherohala Skyline Drive and Joyce Kilmer Forest (with old growth tulip poplar trees) early the next morning when we had the lovely road completely to ourselves. The room was clean and comfortable, with modern minifridge and microwave, overhead room lights (I have always been baffled that hotels usually skip this, it made things SO much more pleasant!), comfortable beds, clean bathroom with well lit mirror. The breakfast room had yogurt, cereal, and wafflemaker; much better than the bulk pastries I was expecting. They ran out of butter packets and a staff member took the initiative to run to the grocery store and get more. Desk staff were all friendly, interesting, and genuinely interested in provided excellent personal service. They clearly cared about doing a good job, not just punching the clock. Thank you! Only challenge was that there are not enough parking spots for the number of rooms, probably because some visitors are there on motorcycles to ride the nearby Tail of the Dragon.
