A lovely holiday but some aspects let it down a bit. The actual place was lovely, the mountains, trees and sea were so beautiful and so was the hotel, it blended in nicely with its surroundings. The waiting staff were lovely, however at the beginning of our stay (a day before the summer season began), some barstaff were quite rude, I asked for a Pina colada and they sighed and rolled their eyes before saying ok, this happened twice with two different bartenders in two different bars. As I said the waiting staff in the main restaurant were lovely and very helpful. The rooms were really nice as well, however when we arrived at 2am, my brother and I were given the wrong room, a room with just a double bed. When telling this to the man at reception he said there were no more rooms but after my dad explained that we were siblings there was suddenly another room available? (There was another family behind us with the same issue) this new room was also not the one we had paid for, we paid for a sea view and this wasn't that, the man said that we could get our proper room the next day at 2pm. We went down at 2pm and they said come back at 3pm, we went back and they said come back at 3.30pm. My dad explained that this was getting ridiculous and the man behind the desk blamed it on the female cleaning staff not being 'strong enough', further saying that 'they are not strong like you or me', gesturing to my dad. This is unacceptable, using sexism as an excuse for them not giving us the right room. This was said right in front of me and my mum so god knows what they say when there are no women around. Despite this issue, the room (when we finally got it) was lovely, two big double beds and a nice big bathroom. The food looked lovely, but as vegetarians my brother and I struggled a bit, what we could have was lovely, especially the desserts! The entertainment for the most part was entertaining, one night they had Brazilian carnival dancers in which was very exciting. The rest were mainly bands which were decent. The cats were so cute! they roamed around the bars and restaurants and were very friendly. They added to the culture of the hotel, if you are going to Turkey there are going to be cats as they are government protected and vet checked, they love them! So if you are going , expect lots of cats :) The cleaning staff did a good job, refilled fridges and looked after the rooms well, however the only issue was that some days they knocked a bit early, we had them knocking at 8.45 one morning when we were trying to have a lie in. They were lovely and friendly though and if you asked for just 10 minutes they were more than happy to come back later. The TUI info was a bit sp**** as well, there wasn't much advertising for trips out or local info. Overall, despite the sexist and unfriendly reception staff (the main let down), the holiday was lovely and enjoyable, especially the Sunset bar which was right on the beach next to the sea.
