4 Pohon - les 4 Arbres

This is a little paradise created by Olivier Fargeix with love and passion. I was totally surprised to find such a beautiful place in the remote area of Flores. Great experience! Many kinds of activities like hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, off-road tours, ... Or just come to relax in the nature.

Olivier has created this eco-lodge through 15 years of blood, sweat and tears. The property is in an idyllic setting and Olivier is a very welcoming and hospitable host. I was coming to the end of a very long day of travel when I stumbled upon 4Pohon. I was welcomed with a glass of cold ice tea, shown to my room and then served home made pasta and ice cream. I enjoyed a shower under the stars and listening to the sounds of nature. I really enjoyed my stay and really loved chatting to Olivier. He is a lovely man with a passion for adventure and living outside the status quo. I wasn’t able to make it work to go on one of his motorbike adventure tours, but from what he told me and the photos/videos he showed me, I have no doubt they’d be an amazing experience! If you’re looking for simple, very well priced accomodation, in a peaceful, beautiful setting and far away from the tourist traps, you need to spend some time with Olivier and his family at 4Pohon! You will not regret it. I had one of the best sleeps I’ve had after almost a month in Indonesia. If you want to get off the ‘main road’ check out this place!

Very quiet area and very warm welcome. The resort is located away from typical tourist places but still not far from the sea with nice beach and sunset. River at proximity where you can enjoy swimming or use canoe. Meals and drinks prepared and provided by the owners of the place (mix French/Indonesian couple). You leave the place fully refreshed .

What can I say more about this place. From you enter to oliver stay you will get the sense of calmness and the comfort from the nature in the stay. He managed everything by his hand homemade ice cream cannot be missed. furthermore, If you wanna do outdoor adventure with enduro bike he has as well. For sure recommend for anyone near to this area.

A hidden gem and great opportunity to enjoy the quiet countryside. The owners are incredibly friendly and the rooms, while basic, are very clean. Absolutely recommended before/after a day of snorkeling at the nearby 17 islands, which is only ~45 mins away due to the newly-installed road.

Les 4 arbres est écolodge tourné sur la nature. Le lieu de plus 3 hectares est particulièrement bien entretenu et offre un espace hors du commun très agréable et reposant. Il est idéal pour les familles avec enfants ou personnes comme moi désireuses de trouver le calme et l'espace. On y est très bien reçu par Olivier et son épouse Rensa. Les repas et les petits déjeuné sont délicieux et généreux. Les bungalow en bois ont le charme de l'exotisme et sont équipés de moustiquaires. Les environs offrent la possibilité de faire de belles balades en bord de mer, lagunes, voir des villages préservés du tourisme de masse. J'avais privilégier le vélo pour mes balades, cela m'a permis d'aller un peu partout et de me laisser surprendre par une nature préservé et un accueil chaleureux par les villageois et les pécheurs. Olivier possède une connaissance approfondie de l'île de Flores qu'il a parcouru durant ces dernières décennies en moto et en auto. Il saura vous accompagner au dans vos choix de périples aventureux. J'ai adoré mon séjour au 4 arbres, et dans ce coin du monde authentique et préservé. Je recommande sans réserves.
