린허 로크사이드 홀리데이(Linnhe Lochside Holidays)

This is one of the most beautiful campsites I have stayed on. The views over the loch are absolutely stunning. The grounds of the campsite are stunning - the work that has gone in to create these gardens is amazing. I felt as though I was in Cornwall when we visited last week. However this was the second time we have visited this site and the women’s toilet/shower block leaves a lot to be desired. Last time I thought it was maybe because the site was really busy and the weather wasn’t great but nothing had changed 2 years on. The floors were muddy and wet, the whole block is woefully outdated and just isn’t clean or working very well. The first shower I went in started working. I had just wet my hair and body when the water went off and would not come on again. The pipes were creaking and clunking. I then had to pack up my stuff, whilst wet and freezing and move to another cubicle. This one someone had taken the trap out of the drain and it was all clogged with long black strands of hair and had just been left on the side of the shower tray. I didn’t have a lot of choice so had to use this one. The shower curtains don’t look clean, and there are dead spiders (my worst nightmare) in the cubicles etc. I can put up with dated decor, but can’t put up with general dirtiness. I have never seen anyone in cleaning the showers and there are no mops etc to wipe the floors unlike most camp sites. There is also an awful smell - I think it may be the drains but am not sure. Overall not a good experience and it’s such a shame as this is one of the loveliest sites we have stayed on.

Clean tidy caravan park Nice scenery Caravans clean Down side is no one get internet I asked all around the park and no one gets it I was talking to a lady and this was her 3rd time here and she's ever hot Internet although we're meant to The other down side is you don't get many TV channels either Internet is a big one for me I wouldn't go back

You won't get a better view! Caravan was very clean; as was the site, everything needed in the accommodation. The staff were lovely and approachable. Lots of advice and recommendations given. Close to town. Amazing view of the train going through. Will return for a ski season as access close.

New to the world of campervaning and wanted to test my new toy. Picked linnhe Lochside holidays as not many places open at this time of year. It was a great trip, staff really friendly, facilities very good and an excellent view close to the water. I loved it and will definitely be back in the warmer weather if not before.

Such a lovely place to stay! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and the view was incredible. The site has Loch frontage that will take your breath away with its beauty. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. We will be booking again!

This was our first visit to Scotland as a family who kayaks often, the site is on a wonderful loche that was amazing to do this on however there is very little on site, there is one small burger van and the quality was not great, the toilet/shower block was filthy and the showers were mostly all blocked. I did like that the campsite allowed fires.

Great campsite situated close to Ben Nevis but outside the busier Fort William area. Turned up later than expected due to traffic so grabbed our map and tent tag from the check in board and it was free choice for pitches so we set up at the far end in the wild area facing the loch. Stunning location although the ground there was fairly uneven and stony so it was hard to get some of our tent pegs in (and someone had left two half burnt fire circles). The view and the solitude really made it - one morning we watched a seal playing in the loch right in front of our tent. We did some fishing and went out on our sups as well as hiking etc in the surrounding area (and of course up Ben Nevis). Facilities were excellent - showers so hot and high pressure if you forgot to tuck the shower curtain in they nearly hit the door! Plus I saw a bath with baby bath seat in the far cubicle. Individual sink cubicles too for a quick freshen/teeth clean etc. All looked recently renovated and cleaned regularly. The only slight negative was just two washing up sinks for crockery - the last day we were there was the start of bank hols and loads more campers had turned up so there were queues for the sinks - it looked like someone had even washed up in one of the ladies hand wash sinks later! Two kids play areas which was fab including the new zip wire which kept our younger two entertained. We had a lovely stay - thank you!

Magnificent setting and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Clean, convenient and spacious. Very enjoyable.

First time camping in Scotland and the pictures of the views on the website didn’t disappoint Arrived on site to find the reception closed, however the email sent before gave directions on where to collect the site map and tag We asked for a pitch next to the Loch and was surprised to be give the option to pitch anywhere We opted for The Narrows and this was next to the loch and the views were impressive Yes the beach was pebbles but that helped with the dog The toilet/shower block was what we expected on a camp site. Relatively clean and plenty of hot water We didn’t get to try Woodys cabin for food as it was rarely open although the board gives timings. We only saw it open two out of the seven days we stayed Take plenty of mozzi repellent if you camp next to the loch as they had a feast Couldn’t find fault with the site and would recommend it to family and friends who wanted a peaceful holiday with tranquil settings
