If only "Rooms with the Best View and the Softest Beds and the Fluffiest Towels and the Most Delicious Breakfast" could fit on the sign. After two nights here, it's a mystery to me why anyone would stay anywhere else when traveling to Gent. Rooms With A View offers a true local and luxury experience in the heart of the city. I spent so much time oohing and aahing over the views which you can take in walking along a wrap around terrace. Be prepared to dedicate a lot of storage space in your phone to the pictures you'll take. The rooms are lovingly and tastefully decorated with wonderful attention to detail to make ones stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms came stocked with wine and beverages with stem glassware. The high quality mattresses include soft toppers and I'm convinced the towels were new because I've not felt softer ones. Breakfast is not to be missed as it's probably the best you could find in the city; fresh pastries, yogurt, fruit, cheese, ham, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs and a wide assortment of jams and jellies. The place is loved and when you meet the owners Bie and Pascal you understand why this B&B is what it is. Their generous hospitality is unmatched. From organizing us a taxi to catch our early morning flight and putting extra juice and water in our room so we would have something to sustain us to the airport, it was hard to leave such pampering. Highly recommend taking advantage and dining at their restaurant downstairs "Korenlei Twee" for some excellent Flemish fare. The seafood is particularly exceptional. A highlight of our 2 week European vacation and we will be back again and again.

This is a great place to stay in Ghent! We upgraded to the Korenlei Suite which was absolutely wonderful, one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. We were pleased that we had booked in for 5 nights! It was on the second floor and was large, airy and light (one side of the room was all windows) with lots of storage, a comfortable kingsize bed, fresh linen, a large bathroom with bath and shower and a separate toilet. Everywhere was very clean and the room was serviced daily. Wine, beer and water was replaced daily on the house! The view from the room was down the Leie to St Michael's Bridge and it was lovely to sit at night looking over this view. The owners Bie and Pascal were so hospitable and helpful. We really felt at home with such lovely hosts. They couldn't do enough for us. Breakfasts, served in the restaurant or on the terrace, were good with a great choice of cereals, fresh fruit and juice, breads and eggs. All served by Anka who was so pleasant. The location of this property is excellent and perfect for a visit to Ghent. It is situated in the old city near to the cathedral, museums and restaurants and bars. A longer walk along the river will take you to the art museums and STAM museum. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay on your visit to this lovely city.

Bie and Pascal's B&B is the best location I can imagine in Ghent: a 17th century historic property with views of people strolling along the Korenlei and the boats passing along the Leie River, and fragrant petunias in all the window boxes. We loved climbing the spiral staircase to the clean and well appointed rooms, which exceeded all of our expectations: comfortable beds, historic features (like the wooden floors and iron window closures), refreshing cross breezes and air-con, and modern, comfortable bathrooms with luxurious showers. Every morning we started the day with an outstanding breakfast on the waterside patio. And throughout the day we loved interacting with the staff and chatting with Bie & Pascal. I would plan another trip to Belgium just to stay with Bie & Pascal again!

We stayed for one night at Rooms With A View. What a delightful stay. Our Hostess Bei was welcoming and was a lovely, chatty lady with a nice sense of humour. The room overlooking the old area and river in Ghent was clean, comfortable, the pillows were great. We had lots of freebies, very nice bottle of wine, beer, water, etc all for us to consume without extra charge. It was a little noisy but Ghent was gearing up to welcome 'ooo's of visitors to the ten day Ghent Festival starting the following day. If you want to be in the midst of the festival, which looked very well organised and to listen to music until 3am . . .then this is the hotel for you. Outside of the festival this is also a wonderful place to stay, wandering around & sighseeing in the morning before the crowds arrived was a joy. Dinner in Bei's restaurant was delicious and we ate on the terrace overlooking the water - very special. Breakfast was generous tasty and also served on the terrace. The stairs up to the room are very steep and are obviously not for anyone with mobility problems, other than that it was perfect in every way.

Absolutely beautiful room, beautiful view from the room - panoramic views to be honest. The host put a bottle of wine in the room and it was just perfect sitting in our gorgeous room, sipping on a lovely glass of wine, taking in the lovely atmosphere and beautiful evening. Recommend.

Our gorgeous room ( No 1) had a stunning view of the canal. Open the doors with a glass of wine or beer (included) in hand and watch and wave to the boats of tourists below. Bie is an amazing host who carried our bags to our room, made us feel at home and helped us plan our two night in the wonderful city of Ghent. We had dinner in the charming downstairs restaurant, where Pascal cooked us a delicious meal with a glass of Cava included. Our room was lovely and comfortable with snacks, beer, wine, coffee and soft drink provided each day and a great bed. Breakfast was a feast for the eyes, beautifully presented and varied. We reluctantly left feeling we would love to return one day to see this very welcoming couple and their gorgeous B & B
