호텔 알펜프리데

I went on a ski trip to Hochsolden for 1 week and it was possibly one of the best ski hotels I've been to. The food was amazing and very artistic. The rooms were very cozy, beds were quite comfy and the view was exceptional. Staff were all very welcoming, but above all the best part of the hotel was the "Ski in ski out" element of the hotel. There was no need to walk to a lift, we just skied down to the closest lift up.

We were fortunate enough to have spent a week at the Alpenfriede at the end of January 2024. From our arrival, throughout our stay, to our departure, the experience was amazing. The welcome from the staff on reception included a guided tour of the hotel and the facilities. Our room was lovely - my only regret is that I didn't pay a little extra for a balcony / slope view room. The bed was comfortable, with plenty of storage space, coffee making, and a lovely bathroom. The ski lockers are probably some of the best I have used; the ski room is large, spotlessly clean, plenty of room and opens directly onto the slope. The ski in / ski out is exactly that - straight out and onto an easy red - a short run down to the gondola. The restaurant is comfortable, spacious and very cosy, and the food - well - what can you say. Breakfast is a buffet with cold meats, cereal, cheese etc and there are eggs, bacon, and omelettes made to request. Between 3pm and 5pm there is a 'snack' buffet - soup, savoury and sweet - you definitely don't need to eat on the piste. The evening meal - it is like sitting down to a five course Michelin star tasting menu - absolutely amazing. There are choices for the main course of fish, meat and vegetarian. One night the appetiser included a shellfish bisque - as i cant do shellfish I asked i could have mine without - the staff not only removed the bisque but gave me a meat alternative without being asked - nothing was a problem. The wine list is varied with plenty of opportunity to partake of local reds and whites - all reasonably priced. Drinks are very reasonable with a pint of beer costing about £5.00. In the afternoons after skiing, the sun terrace is beautiful with views of the Solden ski area with views over to Timmelsjoch and the Hochgurgl ski area - it is a real sun trap. I can't think of a better place to relax after a day on the slopes. Worthy of special mention are all the staff, but particularly Frank, who is incredibly attentive, combined with an amazing sense of humour. In Februari hebben wij 4 dagen verbleven in Alpenfriede met 7 personen, het ontbijt was goed met voldoende keus, locatie was top, direct gelegen aan de piste met een ski in & out, in de middag waren er snacks beschikbaar en in de avond een prima 3-gangen diner. Wij zaten hier op basis van half pension en zullen zeker in de toekomst terug komen, wij komen al 20+ jaar in Solden en dit is de eerste keer met een hotel direct aan de piste, absoluut een aanrader.

Zalig hotel, met super lekkere keuken. Op de piste, zelfs met Pasen ski's aan en naar tussenstation. Een aanrader ! Altijd vriendelijke bediening, regelmatig vertoeft en vrienden gaan er nog steeds elk jaar naartoe, voor ons wat prijzig geworden 😉

Zeer mooi hotel met vriendelijk personeel; ook heel nette kamers ook al zijn niet alle kamers even modern ingericht; zeer charmant familie hotel en voldoende ruimte voor iedereen om te ontspannen na het skiën met gezellige bar, ruime wellness, enz! Een echte aanrader voor een authentieke skivakantie in Oostenrijk.

Das Hotel hat eine top Lage. Wir waren zum Skifahren dort und mit dem ski in and ski out nicht mehr zu toppen. Service war erstklassig und zuvorkommend. Essen vorzüglich. Wellnessbereich super. Ein rundum-sorglos-Paket, was aber nicht ganz günstig ist. Aber das Hotel ist definitiv weiter zu empfehlen.
