We waited about 20 minutes to check in . There were 2 couples ahead of us . The man at the desk seemed to struggle to get his job done . We were given a second floor room, and there is no elevator. We are in our 70's and have some significant medical issues , but we made do with what we were assigned . Apparently there were no ground level rooms available until the next day . We heard the vacuum hitting the wall in the room next door well after 6 p.m. After an 8 hour drive , we were hoping to relax and maybe nap a bit. Our pillows were not a pair. One was a pillow , the other was chunks of foam stuffed into a pillowcase , not comfortable at all . The night was nice and quiet , pretty good sleep in all. But , in the morning , my husband took a shower , and the shower made a sound like a fire alarm . It woke me and I was prepared to leave the room until I checked on my husband and realized the noise was coming from our bathroom . I was disgusted by that sound . We took our luggage to the ” breakfast room ” . There were 2 kinds of cold cereal , oatmeal in packets that you had to add water to and then microwave it and hope it turns out to be edible and white bread and a toaster . We passed on the luxurious meal , and we left the hotel, never to return . We had stayed here once before and it has gone downhill since. Won't be back to this hotel .
