Family run, authentic and friendly. We booked late, the hosts welcomed us late in the evening with no problems. They gave a choice of rooms. We slept really well. Breakfast was delicious. A real gem, just 90 mins from Calais.

The chateau is charming, cosy, comfortable and in very peaceful surroundings. We arrived on a damp February evening and we loved it, we imagine in spring and summer it would be even more delightful. The host is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We booked last minute so he recommended a couple of restaurants about 15 minutes drive away in Abbeville and we were happy with his recommendation. We had a wonderful night’s stay and would highly recommend.

Visited the chateau 25 years ago and had a wonderfull time in this quiet tranquil haven in northern france with the new owners.... stayed in a fantastic room and enjoyed a lovely breakfast....visited again this weekend and I must say the owners havnt lost any of their enthusiasm for their wonderful chateau... the room was fantastic with great views and the food was first class ....Good shopping available in the local town only a few minutes drive... making it a great place to stay when visiting france for a quick shopping trip or treat yourself to a longer stay .

We found Chateu de Behen on the Sawdays site as looking for off beat places to stay enroute through France. It is a gem of a B&B. Faded grandeur in a beautiful old building but with high quality bathrooms and very comfortable beds. It is only 5 mins from the motorway but very peaceful in a tiny village with no traffic noise at all, feels like deepest countryside. Chickens, goats, ponies, and a laid back farming feel. Norbert was a charming host, very welcoming but not intrusive and gave us good recommendation for a meal at the pretty St Saveur sur Sommes, about 25 mins drive away and definitely worth the visit. Best coffee of our trip at breakfast! And we brought back a couple of bottles of his excellent value Bordeaux too! Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay if you are crossing the Channel in the evening. It's an hour and a bit South from Calais, close to Abbeville. Norbert was very welcoming and personable. Nice rooms and breakfast. We were travelling in a classic car so were grateful that the gates to the estate are locked at night. You have to go elsewhere for dinner, probably Abbeville - as there are no restaurants in the village. Norbert is happy to recommend. We got lucky as there was a mobile Pizza van in Behen the day we got there - and the Pizzas were really good.

Second time we have stayed here. Excellent bed and breakfast. An ideal stopover before catching Le Shuttle back to UK for us. Norbert our host always provides a very warm and friendly welcome. This is a lovely Château with plenty of character and nice grounds. Our German Shepherd enjoys her stays here too. It’s not often we find places we want to stay at again and again but Château De Behen is one we intend to visit many more times in the future.
