I want to share a story. I’m not believe that something will changing and this person will suffer some kind of punishment, BUT GUESTS OF THIS HOTEL SHOULD TO KNOW. Please read till the end. I stayed with my mom and my little daughter for 25 beautiful days on Gaafaru island, but not in this hotel. One day, the workers of this hotel prepared a birthday party for one of the guest on the tourist beach. It’s was Tables, balls, flowers, etc. these are balls began to scatter along the beach and fall into the ocean, burst and roll on the sand. We went , collected and return to them. I was nice and asked if we need to leave the beach when the guests are coming, we can do it and we actually did it, even though the beach is public. Same day In the evening at 7-8pm we decided to come to the beach and try our luck, I know that you can see glowing plankton in the Maldives. What was my disappointment when, instead of a miracle of nature, I saw how this nature is polluted by people who were born there. All the balls just floated in the water. I would collect them all, but in clothes and with 1.5 y.o baby on my hands it is not safe to go to the ocean at night. At the exit from the beach, we met these guys, they were sitting on their bikes. I started with the words: “sorry guys, but there are all balls in the ocean” . They answered: “go swim and collect them ha ha." I said that this is not funny ...and already started go way to hotel and one if them big guy with curly hair said: “F*ck u And they repeated it 10 times. I asked why are you doing this? This is nature, this is beauty, we must protect it. And again I heard : “F*ck u” . I said that I would go to the police and take a photo of this guy. As soon as I took out the phone, he jumped off his bike, pulled out my phone very rudely, my daughter was so scared, she was sitting on my hands . I barely got my phone back. My hand still hurts. It was terrible and embarrassing . I was there alone without my husband and protection, my little daughter and my mother begged me not to go to the police, she was afraid for us. And I understood that the police would not do anything ... on like this places all brothers and relatives. And I tell this story when I am already at home in Dubai.

If you ever want to go to Maldives (or any country for that matter) you should be looking experience the local way of life with locals.. in resorts as Maldives is famous for it will be same as in any where in the world.. you will spend a lot and do same things you can do if you stay in a local place among friendly and helpful locals.. AT Mariana inn we had the best ever holiday.. and we never expected it to be so amazing.. Very friendly staff.. helpful and pleasant locals.. clean and comfortable rooms and of course good food.. 2 minutes walk to the beach and you will see sharks, rays and many types of reef fishes even from the beach.. Staff can arrange various other activities for you too. Every tree in the village has hammocks and you can relax in any of them as you wish.. No ATMs in the village but local shops accept cards. You can walk around the whole island in 15 minutes. Special thanks to Waseef for taking us to see Nurse sharks and the great photos and videos and Mahmoud and the Guys for Food and other services at the hotel. Hoping to see you again for a longer stay! Highly recommend for everyone looking for authentic Maldivian holiday with the amazing Maldivian sea for a fraction of the prices you will pay at so called resorts!!!

Ho dato 5 stelle perché non ne sono previste di più. Una nota di merito, sopra a tutto il contesto già di per sé assolutamente top, ai ragazzi della guesthouse, alla loro gentilezza, educazione e disponibilità. E un grazie di cuore agli abitanti di Gaafaru per l'accoglienza. Ci tornerò. Grazie Mariana Inn!

Una settimana piena di escursioni, relax e divertimento. L’ambiente permette di socializzare con gli altri ospiti e creare amicizie. Le escursioni sono tutte speciali, sei sempre seguito dai ragazzi della guesthouse che sono tutti adorabili e gentili. Super consigliato!

Una vacanza meravigliosa! Non posso far altro che parlare con entusiasmo di questa esperienza. L’arrivo sull’isola è stato sicuramente d’impatto: lontano dalla nostra quotidianità, ci siamo subito trovati in un ambiente nuovo e diverso. Però, come si dice, nemmeno il tempo di posare i bagagli che ci siamo subito ambientati. Il merito va sicuramente ai ragazzi della GuestHouse, che con la loro gentilezza e disponibilità ci hanno trasmesso immediatamente quel senso di fiducia e serenità che ogni viaggiatore cerca. Stiamo iniziando a scoprire il famoso "mal di Maldive" e credo fortemente che questa sensazione sia amplificata dal modo in cui abbiamo vissuto l’isola: autentica, genuina, lontana dal turismo di massa. Arrivato il momento del ritorno, infatti, la nostalgia era ben diversa da quella che si prova solitamente dopo una vacanza al mare. Non era solo il pensiero di lasciare il caldo, il mare e il relax, ma il desiderio di non abbandonare la purezza di un luogo e di una cultura che ti entra dentro. Lasciare Gaafaru, con la sua gente e la sua vita genuina, è stato difficile. È stato come dire addio a un modo di vivere che fa sembrare la nostra realtà così frenetica e distante. Durante questa settimana abbiamo respirato la vita semplice e tranquilla dei locali, immersi nella loro quotidianità, fatta di sorrisi, di bambini che giocano scalzi e liberi, di persone stupende, sempre disposte a raccontare aneddoti interessanti, come Watte. Il primo a darci il benvenuto sull’isola: una persona fantastica, divertente e appassionata, sempre pronta a raccontare storie e ad insegnarci cose interessanti, soprattutto sul mare. Watte è colui che crea video subacquei meravigliosi, imparagonabili ricordi da portare con te. Le escursioni con lui sono state indimenticabili, con la compagnia di Nahin, anche lui molto gentile, che ha contribuito a rendere le nostre uscite in mare speciali. Russel e Ali sono stati un punto di riferimento fondamentale durante il nostro soggiorno. Due ottimi cuochi, sempre disponibili e attenti alle preferenze degli ospiti. Non si sono mai fatti mancare il sorriso, più timidi, ma traspare la loro bontà. Un altro aspetto che ci ha sorpreso positivamente è stato mangiare insieme agli altri. Inizialmente ero un po' scettica, ma alla fine è stato piacevolissimo: Chiacchierare, condividere esperienze e risate, ha aggiunto un tocco speciale alla nostra vacanza. La Guesthouse di Mariana Inn è impeccabile, con camere sempre pulite e accoglienti. Le escursioni sono state un vero sogno, sembra di essere costantemente immersi in un acquario, indescrivibile! Un grazie speciale va sicuramente ad Angelica, che fin dal primo contatto ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie e ci ha seguito passo dopo passo, rispondendo a ogni nostra domanda, anche alla più sciocca. Anche durante il nostro soggiorno, ci ha sempre supportato, assicurandosi che ogni cosa andasse per il meglio. È grazie a lei se abbiamo avuto la possibilità di vivere una v

È stata una bellissima vacanza al mariana inn! Ovviamente con punti positivi e altri negativi! -spiaggia incantevole, mare fantastico, guest house in ottime condizioni, escursioni fantastiche, pulizia eccellente, qualità prezzo molto buono. E infine personale fantastico: Watte è fantastico, preparato e simpaticissimo, un ragazzoveramente in gamba sopratutto nelle escursioni, E anche Russel è stato sempre educato gentile e di compagnia nel servirci ogni giorno!! Punti negativi: manca la doccia in spiaggia, quindi dovevi tornare in hotel per lavarti, Sdraio un po’ datate e rotte alcune, E il cibo è quello che è.. nel senso, non siamo mai stati male, il cibo è anche gustoso, il problema che è sempre uguale e dopo due settimane era già nausea, bisogna variare di più il cibo che si offre.. Una bella vacanza nel complesso!
