Comfortable, historic Logis with lovely ground floor public rooms and pretty terrace seating. Bedrooms are well-appointed (some being upgraded when we stayed). Plentiful parking. The dining room is a well-oiled machine. The Abbey is a few metres away. Breakfast substantial though more expensive than most. Charming, central setting in this pretty village.

Delicious lunch. Well worth a visit. As a family of 5 with three teenagers we decided to drop in (without a reservation) on a busy Sunday having been at the brocante in Montsoreau. What a treat! The boys had burgers (the best in France they maintain!), I had the fish of the day (salmon with risotto) and my husband had steak. All beautifully cooked, all yummy. And the house white - incredible! All in all a wonderful experience. Will visit again.

Fabulous, after a long day on the Motorcycle the hotel was very welcome. Staff on arrival were fantastic , very helpful with clear directions to secure hotel parking. The room was quirky & very comfortable. I booked my evening meal in the restaurant at the hotel, again service was superb even making allowances for my very much less than perfect French, the food the beer the atmosphere could not be faulted. Will definitely return

Five night of perfect sleep, friendly staff, hassle free parking, lovely small pool. Beautiful location in a very historical village. Everybody spoke English, so I didn't have to impose my dreadful French on anyone!! We felt so refreshed after our holiday here.

An extremely disappointing stay..and from the most expensive hotel on our whole French trip…the quality of the bedroom was basic (think Ibis), the shower wasn’t clean, there was one small bottle of water and no tea/coffee in the room. The communal areas were very good and the restaurant was good. The owner was argumentative. I had specifically checked in writing prior to arrival that the hotel had indoor secure bike storage. I had a written reply confirming they did ..but they didn’t! After quite a long argument the end solution was the owner taking our bikes to her personal accommodation. To try and rectify the situation an apology note and nice bottle of sparkling rose was sent to our room …but I’m afraid the damage was done..I will never return and will never recommend the hotel as a place to stay…

Heartily recommend this hotel where we stayed for two nights and had a fabulous room overlooking the town square. Good and friendly service, and exceptional food, amounted to an experience that will have left lots of positive memories. There is a small pool at the rear, where you can relax for an hour or two and the Abbey - main visitor attraction - is on your doorstep. Small quibble would be that when you choose to order off a set dinner which was part of our deal you get charged the full price (on top of what you’ve already paid for the set meal) rather than the difference in price between the set and a la carte item. This was probably explained on the menu in fairness and I didn’t notice it but it seemed a bit excessive particularly as the set option didn’t change over the two nights. But that aside this is a lovely place to stay.
