Staff was kind of rude. Also not great that there isn’t a phone to contact staff if you have issues. You have to leave your room go down stairs and cross the street to the main hotel. They key card isn’t all the functional too. You really have to push it into the scanner. Worst of all the bed was super uncomfortable. I’ve slept more comfortably on a plane. That bed was a brick. Oh and no welcome wine like how ******* mentioned.

This property was overall pretty good, the room was large the bed was massive but there were a few minor details that let it down. The toilet flush wasn't the best, the windows in the bathroom and bedroom were hard to open/close. and the bathroom door was hard to close. I feel like if theses small issues were resolved and there was a smart tv they could probably charge another 30-50 on top of what i paid. And I would have been happy to pay that.

I did not realize when I booked this hotel that Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio) is one of the most touristy areas in Florence. Therefore the price for the hotel was higher than it might have been for the same quality elsewhere. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice, and breakfast was good. We were not able to enjoy eating on the terrace because of the weather but the view of the Pitti Palace and surrounding area was spectacular. Main problem was furnishings. There was a closet for hanging clothes, but no dresser. I asked at the desk for a dresser but she seemed puzzled, like that was an unusual request. She asked if there was not room for our clothes, and I said yes, on a narrow counter that ran along one wall, but that seems odd to stack your clothes on a ledge. She said there was no room for a dresser (which there was, an alcove that had nothing in it) but she could send up a table, which I declined (no difference between that and the ledge). Otherwise the staff was helpful and friendly, called us a taxi (which did not show up, so they called another, which did right away). The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well-outiftted. In the future, I would stay at a hotel off the beaten path both to get a better value room and to get away from the crowds, but that's just me.

Overnight stay in Florence with a car The hotel itself was quite good. The Old bridge accommodation is across the road from la scaletta hotel which is where you check in. You get a room with a double bed television and a functional but quite small bathroom. There is a small bar fridge in the room and also a safe. The air conditioning is quite effective but can be a little bit noisy. The biggest issue we found was on arrival there is no where to stop the car if you have one to go and check in. We parked around the corner and were then informed that the best option for parking is to use the valet car parking. The reception staff told us that this is usually best organised before arrival as what will happen in that case is the valet will meet you about 50 m from the hotel in one of the answers and take your car. As we had not organised this reception staff were very kind and rang the ballet service who then met us where we had park the car. The other issue to be aware of is to actually get to the hotel you need to pass through a couple of pedestrian zones. If you pass through these zones and you are parking at the hotel they will contact the parking authorities and have any fines waived. If you do not park and get this information passed on you will be fined. In the area there are numerous restaurants souvenir shops and plenty of gelati cafes. It is an easy walk to the old bridge and also approximately a 1 km walk to the Duomo and other significant features.

Great customer service and instructions upon our check in. Very secure building, felt safe. Large room with spa bath in bathroom. Shower/bath leaked unfortunately. Great location, on less busy side of Florence bridges. Only suggestions would be access to English channels on tv and iron with ironing board.
