Schlosshotel Fiss

We have stayed here twice now, and had wonderful experiences both times. The creche wasn't brilliant for our 2 year old but the 4 an 5 year olds loved the kids club. There is a ski hire shop within the hotel and a lift takes you straight from the boot room/shop up to the slopes. It is a bit of a trek to get across to Bertas Kinderland but worth it! Food is amazing and service second to none. Rooms are all clean and well appointed, and perfect for families.

We loved our time at Schlosshotel Fiss. The location was great, particularly the amazing views. The hotel itself was beautiful and extremely child friendly, and there were a number of activities for children nearby as well (with stunning views for adults). This is a perfect hotel for young families, but it may not be right for you if you are looking for a quiet/ adults only experience, given how many young families there are (at least in August). I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We were blown away by it all. The way it is managed (professionally and efficiently), the spa area (clean, spacious, functional and comfortable), the bar and restaurant (great staff, fresh and plentiful food). The rooms are super spacious. Comfortable and super clean. Not a marble clad over-modern aesthetic folly but a really proper mountainside Austrian home from home. If I was pressed to find something to criticise I would say that the lift system is sometimes overloaded at busy periods so you might wait quite a while for a lift to come - there seems to be only one lift in each wing. This didn’t detract from the holiday but it was something we noticed. On the last day my son didn’t feel well and the well oiled machine that is the reception/concierge revved into action and suddenly he had products from the pharmacy and an appointment at the medical centre. The Beef Club was a superb way to spend our final night and comparable to any top class restaurant in London, New York etc. Prices are generally comparable with other mountain hotels of this quality so if you’re looking for a budget break, this may not be it. I haven’t come back from a ski holiday feeling so relaxed and revitalised for a long time. This hotel seems to take the stress out of everything and leave you feeling renewed and happy.

We just returned from a 5 night stay and wow we loved this hotel. Our first ski trip as a family, and what a fantastic hotel we stayed at. A beautiful room, lovely food and the most helpful staff. The kids did not want to leave! Hopefully we get to return next year. Thank you Schlosshotel Fiss.

My sister lives in Zurich & has stayed at this hotel quite a few time with her family. Back in 2019 she invited me along with my daughter, son in law & my two grandchildren to join them on a summer visit to this hotel & region. So the plan was to come August 2020 but Covid hit! The delay knocked back this visit to last week (August 2022) but it’s been so worth it! My first reaction is WOW! The hotel, the location, the rooms, the bar, the restaurants, the spa & pools…nothing short of amazing. But for me what tops all of this is how you are looked after. Each & every one of the staff makes you feel so welcome. They look after you, help you, greet you with such friendliness. The hotel is luxury but one feels so at home & relaxed….we stayed 3 nights but I so wish it could have been longer. Family is the centre of this place & the food provided for children at dinner was fantastic. Equally the food provided for the adults was amazing too…but happy children means happy parents! 😊 Activity side of things..3 days wasn’t long enough. Apart from the kids pool inside which was fantastic there is so much to do & see outside. The summer pass card for the cablecar rides for our whole stay is a real gem to get out & about & up high. Then it’s so easy to return to the hotel for lunch which given the length of time you have lunch available doesn’t limit your time thinking one need to get back before lunch finishes. In short this hotel exceeded my expectations & plans are afoot for my next visit…😁 Thank you Schlosshotel for looking after myself & my family so well during our visit last week. You are amazing!

This is our fifth year returning to Shlosshotel in Fiss from Chicago. By far best experience during winter months we had at any place. Hotel is perfectly located just 30 min from Landeck train stop , which is again about 2.5 hours from Zurich. Hotel is 5S and has amazing range of amenities, located on slopes and direct access to runs , gondolas and ski lifts. Ski slopes and runs are out of the world - great in so many ways. Food is incredible, service and most importantly people are great and will be there to help you in any way at any time. We love this place and will keep returning to Austria and Shlosshotel for many more years to come. Thank you for your hospitality!
