My hubby and I had the most glorious meal on Easter Saturday, where chef Sam Squires was at his finest. We kicked off our evening with a glass of house champagne in the cozy wine bar, moving to the Ballroom dining room, a stunning space and yet remains intimate. The service was friendly, discreet and spot on. Every course wowed with taste explosions. I particularly enjoyed my starter, a Carrot Terrine, with a buttermilk and dill veloute, pickled carrot, spring onion, thyme. All the textures and flavours at once, tangy, crunchy, soft and simply delicious. We stayed in the Faringdon room overlooking the market square. Super comfy bed, feather duvet and excellent pillows made for a great night's sleep. The added bonus of a nespresso coffee machine in the room is a nice touch and waking up to a fresh coffee is my perfect way to start the day. Lovely white fluffy bath towels and robes and a great hot and spacious walk in shower. A perfect evening and night and we'll definately be back soon, thank you for having us.
