디 옥슨햄 암스(The Oxenham Arms Hotel Devon)

I have just watched this couple on four in a bed. Absolute game players and disgusting behaviour. Gave one person a £65 reduction for some really petty complaints. I wouldn't stay here if they paid me just on the principle they are horrible people.

Our first visit to the Oxenham Arms for dinner, and what an absolute delight it was. From start to Finnish we felt very well looked after with delicious food and excellent service, and Pinot the bar cat is just so sweet and friendly. We are looking forward to our next visit at the Oxenham Arms, hopefully with a dash of sunshine thrown in so that we can enjoy their lovely garden.

Amazing building seeped in history, we enjoyed a fabulous stay, with large thanks to our most excellent and entertaining host. The room was gorgeous, and well appointed, the bed luxurious; the food was great and the staff very welcoming and helpful. Great drinks revommendations too!

Fabulous welcome for a large group of friends today- meal was delicious and served well. Enjoyed looking around the rooms, full of history. The hosts were very attentive and we all had a fantastic time. Would love to take family back or stay at Christmas.

Wow what an amazing stay we had it was just one night but will definitely be back . Food was just so good the best in fact everything about our stay was fantastic from the bar to the room and John was outstanding with all his knowledge and tells , Simon too thank you so much for a great stay .

My partner and I came here for an evening meal on a Sunday evening, we were made to feel extremely welcome in hospitality and conversation, both Lyn and Simon were extremely polite and more importantly very down to earth . Our meal from nibbles to dessert was very well cooked and presented, and I personally couldn’t fault it or the time there . Plus the building is stoked with history that was fascinating to read and learn about . More importantly it was a perfect location for a perfect date I was on .

As a family of 8 gathered from around the UK we had an incredible meal at the Oxenham Arms in the week just before Christmas. Nothing could be faulted: the food, the service, the ambience, the carol singing, the historic building beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was magical. Thank you Lyn and John for taking such good care of us, for being so attentive. You helped make a family Christmas meal magical.

We stayed at this hotel for New Year as we wanted to get away for the night. It is absolutely beautiful and steeped in history. The staff are really friendly and the food is delicious. We ate in the restaurant and had a series of delicious courses. We then went to the bar where they had a live band and saw the New Year in there. The beds are super comfortable and we had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing New Years Eve. Thank you 🙂

We were a party of 4 (2 from Exeter and 2 from Truro) who had booked a pre Christmas table for lunch on a Monday. We had booked following a recommendation from a work colleague who I have to thank for steering us in the direction of this fabulously historic building with excellent cuisine. We had a table by a log fire and enjoyed our meal immensely, my wife and I had the wild mushroom linguine with pesto and 'real' cheese and we both said that it was the best we had ever tasted. Compliments too the chef. Good Christmas Ale too. Thank you the Oxenham Arms, what a find, we will return. I'm going to enjoy exploring your history.
