The 505 Eugene

The 505 Eugene was a perfect base for our visit—just a short walk from the train station, which made getting around incredibly easy. The space was thoughtfully equipped with plenty of amenities that made our stay comfortable and convenient. While the stairs were a bit of a challenge with luggage, everything else more than made up for it. The apartment met all of our needs, from restful sleep to easy access to local spots. We appreciated the host’s attention to detail and would absolutely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

Unique and beautiful, the 505 Eugene felt like a home, instead of a typical sterile hotel room layout. Its excellent location close to *everything* allowed for short walks to shops, restaurants, bars, movie theater, performing centers, and more. It is however, one block away from the train station, which can be convenient if you plan to travel that way, but may be too loud for some, especially early in the morning (6am train activity could be disruptive to sleep). They do provide one set of earplugs, which helped enough, but bring extra pairs if there are more people in your party because… …there is no lobby, front desk or any staff on site. It’s a completely contactless check in/out process. They do provide clear instructions with building and room codes. Check in is at 4 pm, which is a little late in my opinion. My flight arrived around noon, and I didn’t want to carry my luggage everywhere all afternoon. A quick phone call solved the issue, and I was able to leave the bag in a secure storage area. Their 10 am checkout is also too early. Upon checkout, they request that a dishwasher load with any used items is started, but they take care of everything else. The entrance to the building consists of a couple of steps leading up to a black door with a small sign, between a piercing studio and a bookstore, directly across from the Post Office building. I’m writing all this because my Uber driver wasn’t sure where to drop me off. There are seven uniquely decorated units. I stayed at the Nordic 201, which is a corner studio room with three windows. It had a nice bathroom with a walk in shower, a full sized kitchen, a cozy living room area, and a bedroom that was large enough to tightly fit a queen bed, a tiny side table, and an (open) closet area. A sliding wood door provided bedroom privacy. In summary, the 505 Eugene is a unique, cool and comfortable place to stay, near everything (as pointed out by a local friend). The contactless process was easy to figure out, and the staff responded promptly to questions or requests via phone/text. Despite the check in/out times and some outside noise, I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Eugene, perhaps trying a different room just for the experience.

Fantastic location for our overnight trip to see a show at the Hult Center. Clean, easy parking, beautifully appointed - Starbucks coffee and full size fridge. Terrific bath tub. Ideal - we hope to return.

I LOVED everything about my stay. The Nordic was such a clean look. I felt as though I was back in Europe. The loft design was beautiful with the black and white, bits of wood and 'marble' , with an exposed brick ceiling. The appliances looked very European and functioned beautifully. Linens were great. Even the TV was easy to navigate with lots of options , including airplay. The bathroom and kitchen were well appointed and I appreciated the natural products and eye makeup remover pads very much. I was surprised at other reviews complaining about the train noise. I have stayed at all the nice hotels around this area and you can hear the train from ALL of them. ONLY 505 gave out very good ear plugs. And in black!! I am very fit so didn't mind the stairs but certainly be aware it's a walk up. The codes on the outer and apartment doors worked great. As a solo woman I felt very safe in this area. Parking was easy. The rate was very fair. Communication during my stay was excellent. My daughter lives in Eugene in a tiny apartment so I will absolutely hope to stay at 505 again.

Our stay at 505 Eugene exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The location is unbeatable. It is close to downtown Eugene yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. It made it easy to explore local spots, parks, and restaurants, all within a short drive or walk. The space itself was clean, modern, and thoughtfully decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were super comfortable, and we appreciated small touches like quality toiletries, fast Wi-Fi, and a cozy living area perfect for relaxing after a day out. Parking was provided even though it was a bit tricky to find at first. The check-in process was simple and hassle-free.

Always a great experience at the 505! Super clean and well provisioned with everything you need. They respond quickly to any concerns and give you all the info you need for checking in and out. The only draw back is the train whistles but they provide ear plugs.
