The grounds are really amazing the green grass, the plants and trees, ostriches, goats and ponies. The pool is really nice as well and the river definitely makes it a unique setting. The staff is very kind and helpful although they happened to be short staffed and there was no bartender for mixed drinks.

We stayed at Awa Resort Hotel just outside of Encarnación in an upgraded room with king bed. The Good...the outdoor areas including pool and views of the Rio Paraná are incredible! They have Ñandu's (rhea/emu type birds) roaming the property. Bed was comfortable. Laundry service was great being returned by noon the next day. The not so good...room had an old 70's feel to it with cheap flooring that makes noise when you walk on it and random furniture that didn't seem to make any sense (e.g. random futon pushed up against a dresser which was against the wall and tv that faced the wall, not the bed). The a/c was strange as well. There was a remote control however it didn't seem to do anything. After freezing the first night, we "shut it off" on the remote, but there was no change... the unit kept blowing cold air. Our last night there we got back to the room about 11 pm to shower and there was only hot water. We didn't call the front desk given the time of night. You would think that the hot water would eventually run out, but after running it solid for 30 mins, it was still boiling.

Our stay was a brief single night, but we left with a good impression of this hotel. It's a large, modern hotel that lacks the ambiance of some of the older, colonial style hotels that you can find in the region. The breakfast buffet was particularly good. Service in the restaurant and in the reception was friendly and efficient.

The hotel was great, but there was little things throughout the stay that made it not so great. There was an outlet cover missing and there were loud people outside drinking until after midnight. The shower door leaked, and the water didn't drain well from the bathroom floor. This left us with a wet towel in the bathroom floor. The chairs are limited around the pool, and most often there wasn't a lot of people, but all the chairs had towels reserving them. There were a few other little things that were minor but aggregating. It's unfortunate, because it would take very much to have made it a perfect vacation.

La amabilidad del personal un 10! La limpieza un 10! El desayuno delicioso. El guardia de la portería principal un señor de señores! Amable atento!la cama, un 100 súper cómodo, impecable toso realmente. Otra cosa estuvieron pendientes de mi hora de llegada . Todo perfecto

Exelente servicio, recomendable para ir con niños, disfrutan de las instalaciones y el entretenimiento. Las habitaciones cómodas, buen servicio de limpieza. El restaurante completo abierto las 24 horas , el desayuno abundante y muy variado. Muy buena atención del personal.
