I booked this hotel in February and did not see negative reviews. 4 months later... Husband & I entered the lobby at 3:30pm & were met with a very long line of people, approximately 6 groups ahead of us, waiting to check in. It took a full 1/2 hour for us to get our room key (2 hotel personnel at the desk) and by that time there were around 10 groups waiting behind us. We overheard the hotel was fully booked due to the Paul McCarney concert that night. We also overheard that their elevator was broken ”for some reason” though no assurances were given that a maintenance crew was planning to fix it. The hotel interior hallways smelled of cigarette smoke and overall looked worn. Upon entering the room, we had to forcefully shut the door as it did not want to fully close & latch on it's own. All surfaces of the room; dressers, lamps, desk chair, couch, curtains looked to be second hand; worn, stained, ripped. When my husband moved the window curtain aside, a 12oz plastic bottle fell off the sill. It was filled with someone's chew spit!! There were candy wrappers and opened candy on the floor just beneath the couch area. The floor and grout in the bathroom needs a massive scrub. The ceiling in the shower needs patching. Even the tv remote was sketchy! We were supplied with no pillows, but a cleaning woman outside the room was able to procure two for us within 15 minutes. Upon pulling the bed blankets fully back I discovered that although the sheets were clean, there were two cigarette-size burn holes in the sheet! We decided to just deal with all this as we were strapped for time & only staying 1 night. Only positive - the bed was comfortable. In the morning we went down for the ”full breakfast” & discovered this consisted of oatmeal & cereal packets, a yogurt dispenser, fruit in a bowl, a pancake maker and a juice & coffee dispenser. That was it!! A sign in the lobby read ”We're happy to say that we are the newest Ramada Worldwide.” New apparently does NOT mean updated!! After writing all this, I now regret not talking to management immediately about these issues!
