The island got us since the very first moment we arrived. Clear water, pristine nature and nice and gentle people make this place a real paradise. Rooms are very peculiar and comfortable, with attention to every details, and the same for the common spaces. Staff always kind and caring to satisfy guest needs. We spent five truly unforgettable days there and to look forward to coming back again.

Extremely kind, friendly, cheerful, and attentive people. You get the feeling of being “at home.” It was truly a wonderful stay — the environment is pleasant, clean, and perfectly organized. It’s a place that stays in your heart.

I spent a week in August at the Gangga Island Resort together with a friend, mainly for scuba diving, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The resort is charming, very well maintained in every detail, with a beautiful and enjoyable beach. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean; I really appreciated the sustainable choice of not providing plastic water bottles but instead a personal refillable bottle. The bathroom is equipped with high-quality products (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, and hand soap), and I found the evening turndown service very pleasant: the housekeeping staff prepare the bed and tidy up the room for the night with great care. The cuisine is absolutely top-level: dishes are always carefully chosen and beautifully presented, offering a variety that ranges from local specialties to international options, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every meal was a delight, both for the palate and the eyes, and the service was always attentive and well organized. We chose this holiday mainly for scuba diving, and the diving center was impeccable: you can hand over your own equipment or rent it on site, and you’ll always find it ready and already set up on the boat. Between dives, the staff take care of everything, leaving only a quick final check before use. At the end of the stay, they returned all our gear perfectly cleaned, rinsed, and completely dry — an excellent service that made diving even more enjoyable and relaxing. In short, a perfect stay: a dream location, excellent services, wonderful diving, and refined cuisine. Highly recommended!

After the first night on Gangga Island we were looking forward to an enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly on arrival and transit from the airport to the island was smooth despite the rainy weather conditions. Our room was everything we needed, ocean views and each room has a designated beachfront cabana. A mosquito net would have been preferred, as the mosquito incense was quite strong and bugs would still say hello when we were trying to fall asleep. Hot water is intermittent, but we are on an island. Be aware there is very very loud music that plays every night from the main land. We initially thought it was on the island but staff advised it was from the mainland and there is nothing they can do.... So bring ear plugs as it played every night and I am surprised no reviews mention this. Our first lunch and dinner was a la carte, and we could pick an entree, main and dessert. The a la carte menu option was amazing. The restaurant staff and service is perfect. However, the second, third and fourth lunch/ dinner were buffet as a large group had checked in on the island and staff advised when there are large groups they switch to buffet and no longer offer the a la carte. The first buffet dinner was cold and overall the buffet was not as good as the a la carte. I wish we were able to order the a la carte and a few other guests we spoke to wished the a la carte was still on offer when large groups check in. The restaurant staff were nonetheless amazing. The diving operation could have been better. We hired their dive gear, however they ran out of our normal size and gear was worn/broken, so bring your own gear. We told the guides we did not want to go macro diving which on orientation they said not a problem. However, we were partnered with a couple that wanted to go macro diving. This happened again the next day and was a bit disappointing and prevented us from diving further. Nonetheless, they offer afternoon tea whilst watching the sunset which made all the issues go away. You can walk into the local village which has a shop where you can buy drinks and food at local price. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we were left feeling disappointed on a few occasions, but it is okay because at least we were on holiday.

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The resort itself is absolutely stunning — a true tropical paradise, beautifully maintained and full of charm. The cuisine was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dive center was excellent as well: professional, well-organized, and with a great personal touch. A truly memorable experience in every way!

Amazing resort! I booked 5 nights for diving and relaxation. Super compassionate and patient staff who take care of you like family. The dives were amazing! We went to bangka and the mainland for dive sites, but you are able to book Lembeh and bunaken if you want. Great for photography beginners or pros! Dive masters helped me capture great images!
