Ich habe fast auf der ganzen Welt in Hotels übernachtet und habe viel Erfahrung. Dieses Hotel ist sehr schön(Nähe zum Zentrum) Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr groß.
Wer schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht hat, reagiert empfindlicher auf Selbstgefälligkeit. Wenn ich wieder nach Düsseldorf komme bleibe ich gerne wieder da.

Good location that is very near to the train station if that is the way you travelling by. One thing that bothers me about this hotel is that the doors cannot be double locked from the inside. So one morning I had the hotel staff just opened the door for room service while I am still around. He didn't knock, and I have no way to lock the door from the inside either. Very bad security for a 4 star hotel in this current day and age. Room is fairly basic, with no drinking water provided, and no amenities in the toilet. Won't return.

Die Zimmer hatten definitiv schon bessere Zeiten. Die Teppiche sind wohl älter als mancher Gast. Ob eine Hosen-Bügelmaschiene aus den 80er Jahre als gute Ausstattung zählt, wage ich zu bezweifeln.
Die Lüftung macht zwar ordentlich Geräusche, aber funktionieren tut sie nicht.
Die moderne Lobby, die schöne Rezeption und der kostenlose Nespresso-Kaffee machen zwar wieder einiges wett, aber insgesamt stimmt dann Preis/Leistung doch nicht.

Grote kamer (2 volw 1 kind), erg schone kamer en badkamer en erg beleefd personeel. Hotel heeft een eigen parkeerkelder waar je auto veilig staat. Veel winkels en eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Maar 10 min rijden naar de oude binnenstad. Dit hotel is een echte aanrader.

Hôtel vieillissant mais propre. Chambres de belles tailles mais meubles à changer. Lits confortables. Accueil correct. Situation à distance acceptable du centre ville. Parking 25 euros la journée. Près du quartier de Tokyo et ses restaurants.

I stayed in a classic single room for one night. Given the shabby condition of the room, which was reminiscent of student accommodation, it was very poor value for money.
The hotel's website states there is a complimentary mineral water and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was no water and only a kettle and a mug - but no coffee or tea to actually make a drink. I checked with reception who said this was correct and that there was a communal coffee machine in the lobby. What's the point of a kettle and cup in the room then?! As someone who likes to have a coffee or two before getting dressed, a coffee machine in the lobby was no use to me.
The furniture was shabby and worn and the grout in the shower required attention. Otherwise the rest was clean and the staff friendly. Wouldn't stay there again - I expected better of a Mercure hotel.

Das Hotel ist vom Hauptbahnhof Düsseldorf in gut fünf Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen — jedoch ist auch direkt am Hotel eine Straßenbahnhaltestelle, von der aus man gut z.B. den Rheinturm/Landtag und die Rheinterrassen oder auch das Capitol-Theater erreichen kann.
Leider sind die Fenster des Zimmers bereits in die Jahre gekommen, weshalb es gezogen hat und man die Tram hörte. Ansonsten ist das Hotel ruhig.
Das Frühstück war gut, auch wenn die Mit-Gäste etwas Gewöhnungsbedürftig waren (eine Frau langte mit der bloßen Hand in den Topf mit den Würstchen und aß dieses dann im Gehen zu ihrem Tisch — das ist unhygienisch!).

Thankfully we only stayed here for one night, any more than that would have been unbearable. Staff were friendly enough but the room was small with limited facilities and very noisy.

Gute Anbindung ÖPNV. Gegend Bahnhofsvirtel. Sehr nettes Personal und gutes Frühstück. Zimmer klein und nicht sehr modern. Grob sauber, aber auch eine Deckenlampe oder die Fenster könnten eine Reinigung vertragen.

The suite I stayed in had some weird quirks. First, the shower was constricted to a 3 ft x 3 ft square raised about 20 cm from the floor. If you were to slip in it, you'd be at serious risk of face planting against the counter next to the shower (I know because I nearly did, the shower and floor itself were very slippery when wet).
Second, the single twin bed in my room barely had any bedding, just two pillows, a mattress cover, and a duvet. The mattress was okay but not terribly comfortable. I definitely had a budget suite! I don't know if it reflects the typical quality of their rooms, but claiming that Mercure City Center is a 4-star hotel is definitely pushing it based on what I observed.
On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast options were top notch. Location also can't be beat. I don't know if I would stay again. As time passes I'll probably forget the critical parts of this review.
