Such a beautiful and unique stay. Checked into our beautiful room in the Montana Pullman Carriage, which was absolutely stunning. We relaxed in the lounge (after having lunch in the pub next door ) and enjoyed reading the history of the pullmans only to discover that 3 of the carriages came from near where we live. We had booked our dinner in the dining carriage Princesss Ena and what a fabulous experience that was with fantastic decor and wonderful food and service, almost like stepping into the Orient Express. The staff were amazing especially Kit who had only just started a few days before. The owner was so friendly and the lady who checked us in and served us breakfast was also brilliant. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice provided and we had a bonus of meeting And Peters with the GMTV film crew filming the daily competition. Can’t wait to return

Having previously stayed at the Old Petworth Railway Station several times and seeing the Princess Ena under restoration, we were keen to try it out once opened, so booked to go as a party of 5 for my father in law's birthday. We had such a lovely evening. The carriage has been beautifully restored. We were taken to our seats and the two servers were professional and friendly throughout the evening. The food was amazing. Classy, but not overly fussy, which is just what we like. They were very accommodating, fitting us onto a table for 5 and providing a separate small table for his presents. We would definitely recommend it and will be back. Thank you very much.

Had a two nights stay at The Old Railway Station. The staff were first class from the moment we arrived. Couldn’t do enough for us. The carriage we stayed in was spotless and clean, not oversized but comfortable enough for the two of us. The evening meals here were quite the event. Fine dining and delicious. There was a little road noise but nothing too bad. Breakfast was very good with some lovely touches, such as the fruit pots. The only bad thing I would say, was the noise from the neighbouring cabin. The wall separating us wasn’t very soundproof and sadly other guests didn’t seemed bothered about making noise late at night. I would recommend a stay here, it was a wonderful experience, thank you.

The Old Railway in Petworth continues to impress on this second visit. While I didn't dine in the fine dining restaurant this time, the experience was still exceptional. The cream tea was simply delightful—freshly baked scones, rich clotted cream, and perfectly brewed tea made for an indulgent afternoon treat. The morning breakfast was equally outstanding, cooked to perfection with fresh ingredients that truly made a difference. The atmosphere remains as charming as ever, blending historic elegance with warm hospitality. Every detail, from the impeccable service to the beautifully maintained surroundings, adds to the welcoming feel. It’s clear that the care and dedication of the staff create an unforgettable stay. Whether enjoying a leisurely afternoon or starting the day with a fantastic meal, the Old Railway continues to be a hidden gem worth revisiting.

What a fabulous stay?! It was only for one night for a special birthday and a wonderful surprise! Everything is absolutely perfect. It is so well run with such lovely staff. We were so sorry we couldn’t visit the restaurant, being a Sunday, but the breakfast is so delicious and so well thought through. Keep up the good work.

We booked an afternoon tea, bed and breakfast, as well as an evening meal on the Princess Ena railcar for my wife’s special birthday. Everything was simply fantastic, we can’t recommend this experience enough. From the get go we were really looked after, I didn’t have thousands of pounds to go on the Orient Express, but this was the next best thing, at really reasonable prices. The afternoon tea in the station was excellent, carriage we slept in was a treat, very clean indeed, very well in its upkeep, and the food and service on Ena was exceptional. Last year we had our first holiday in 17 years, and fortunately ate up the Eiffel Tower, the food there was exquisite, which felt like Michelin standard, and without a doubt, the chef’s food at The Old Railway station was the same. This whole experience will live with us as a fond memory forever, we will definitely come back, you were all so friendly, nice and very professional, thank you so much x.
