Edgewater is a family friendly Water park hotel. Although it is a bit dated and needs some cosmetic attention, it delivers a fun experience. There could be more included amenities, however I felt the hotel was clean and well managed, and guest service was fantastic. Upon notifying the hotel of a list hearing aid in the Waterpark, they took down details and keep an eye out for it. Although we didn't find it during our stay, we received a call 2 weeks later letting us know they had found it in the slide. They mailed it back to us promptly. We will definitely visit again.

Me and my daughter came up gor Mea weekend. Had great weather. The only thing that i was unpleased with is they ran out of food. The night we arrived and no breakfast in the Morning. The room was nice and the water park was nice. People sometimes ruin things. Cant really do much about careless people. They were booked out completely.

We have been here the last 3 years for my daughter’s birthday. The cleanliness and overall upkeep of the facility seems to progressively get worse. The stairways were filthy with the same garbage the entire weekend. The carpet in many of the hallways is ripped to the point that it is a trip hazard. The entry way that we were told to use has the flooring all cracked and coming up. The tiles in our bathroom this time were also cracked and coming up. There were pills of some sort on the floor behind the bathroom door. Thermostat didn’t properly work. Balcony had rusty railings, peeling paint, and a light that didn’t work. Waterpark also needs maintenance and upkeep. For what they charge for a room on top of having to pay for the waterpark per day, I expected better.

Hotel is older looking which is fine so wasn’t expecting anything super fancy. When we walked into the room we were met with a musty damp smell. There are stains on the curtains. The bathtub had 3 spiders so I’m guessing the room hasn’t been used in awhile. There is a line to hang laundry in bathroom, but it’s broken. Visible water damage in the bathroom on the ceiling (no bathroom fan to control moisture) that was just painted over, and I did see a spot of mold as well. The sheets felt either dirty or starchy…. Not sure which. Almost sticky? Pillows were decently fluffy. Staff was friendly. “Lake view” is of trees and the highway unless you’re on the top floor. Did not use the water park. Outdoor swimming pool and spa did look clean, didn’t use. Overpriced for the level of cleanliness and lack of upkeep on rooms. Should be priced more like a motel.

This could be a great place. I think for 200.00 a night just for a room no extras my bathroom,ceiling and balcony would be clean. The lobby and hall ways and carpet need a good cleaning. The view from our room was great and the staff was very friendly

Hotel room was unreasonably far from the parking lot/ entrance. The room was beside the noisy elevator/ice and vending machine. The air vents were full of dirt/mold. Stains on the carpet, curtains and lamp shade. The grout on the tub needed scrubbed. The only thing that was clean was the bed, toilet and sink.

We had a nice stay at the Edgewater Hotel for a weekend while we were in town for a marathon. The property is in a convenient location and easily accessible, with plenty of parking. We were given a room with a balcony and a beautiful view of Lake Superior. The room itself was clean and had all the essentials. We did not experience any issues during our stay, but the hotel WiFi was pretty weak and inconsistent. Aaliyah at the front desk was awesome and very friendly during the check-in process, so shout out to her. Overall, the hotel was pretty much what I expected it would be, and I’d certainly stay here again.

this is a kid friendly tourist property. the lake side rooms offer great lake views. the water park is great for kids. ( when it’s open). check on facility schedule to see when attractions are open. the facilities are consistent with this price point. ( not a give star). the employees are good and do what they can to provide an enjoyable stay.

The hotel changed the price about three times on me and my family the hotel added about $200 to my families recite. All I can say was it was a terrible experience and made my family spend a ton of money so it was terrible. So if you are in the dluth area I would not recommend staying there.
