We arrived early for our snowmobiling weekend and fortunately, our cabin was ready. Conveniently located on the trails. Unfortunately, the coldest weekend of the year. Cabins are comfortable, heated floor, propane fireplace , small kitchen area with toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker , fridge and microwave. Being the coldest weekend, our truck was not starting one morning, they did try helping with a booster pack but it was not charged. The owner did come by and plugged in our vehicle, but told us that we were not supposed to park in the driveway with our trailer, no one told us this, but they did tell out friends that arrived later. He insisted that we were told.... There was a smell in our cabin, unsure what it was, maybe kitchen sewers or propane fireplace, we never figured it out, but turned off the fireplace just in case. I found it odd that there's no maid that comes in to tidy up and provide fresh towels. Now, dinner reservations did not go as planned. Last minute we were told we would not have access to the menu and it would be a buffet only. Not that there's an issue with that other than the buffet was subpar. Store bought terrible meatballs, ribs were okay, but again store bought, terrible duck and shrimps you have to peel, along with potatoes and a bit of salad and veggies. The thing is, we were charged an insane amount which the meals on the menu are much less. $125.00 for 2 buffets and 2 drinks ($15.00) isn't even acceptable. It's pretty much gouging, We learned later on that the chef quit and they had many cancelled reservations due to this. So I guess they had to make money somewhere, and there we were! We checked out the morning after, only to find out they serve breakfast, to accommodate the snowmobile season, it would have been nice to know this, there was no mention of this on any website, social media or during check-in. It seems like there's a lack of communication. Not that we'll never return, but we'll know what to expect.
