I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tropical Sands in Dominical! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, but tucked away enough to feel peaceful and secluded. The beautiful garden surrounding the property creates a beautiful, tropical atmosphere that makes it easy to relax with lots of seating and hammocks around. My room was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed for a great stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer recommendations for tours or help with anything I needed. There’s also a communal kitchen to cook your own meals! If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay in Dominical that still keeps you close to all the action, Hotel Tropical Sands is a perfect choice. I’d definitely stay here again!

Just had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tropical Sands. The owners, Amy and Ken, set a great tone and the staff follow their laid back yet friendly, helpful, and attentive way. Marta, Loren, and Claire are welcoming and interesting people. The hotel setting is really cool. Walking through the gate you’re transported to a jungle vibe with birds chirping and amazing vegetation that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a rain forest despite being adjacent to the beach and a short walk to the town center. The restaurant across the street quickly became a favorite. The rooms are efficient and exceptionally clean. Looking forward to staying there again.

Aaaww... Tropical Sands Hotel! What a beautiful spot... loved the ambiance and was very close to Dominical beach, about 3-4 minutes walk. Rooms were clean with hot water, and the a/c was functioning properly. Internet was a bit jumpy... Amy, the host, was awesome, very well organized. She showed us good spots in Dominical with lots of information about restaurants, stores, the beach tides, and many adventures/excursions/activities around Dominical. Thank you so much for that wonderful experience at your place. I had a great time! Pura Vida! ☀️🌊🌴

I got to stay at this little hidden gem for 3 nights. The owner, Amy, is absolutely amazing to work with. Her staff (Cassia and Patty, and Alice (the maid) are all so nice and responsive to whatever you need. The room is super comfortable and I sleep like a rock there. The community kitchen option is great as well. It's a short 3 minute walk to the beach and the entire town is walkable. The staff can guide you wherever you need to go. I highly recommend it.

A fab place to stay in a fantastic setting. Owners and staff are brill and are very helpful, they can't do to much for you. The facilities are as advertised and allow for great interaction, if you want, with other guests.

The hotel was perfectly situated near the beach and within walking distance of the main area of town. This provided a quiet and safe place to launch my daily explorations. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The commons area was very warm and inviting and where I met a number of really awesome people. The staff helped me with ideas for dinning and activities, all of which were excellent! Staying at Tropical Sands Hotel made me want to buy a place nearby. I would stay at this hotel any time I visit Dominical, which I hope to do again soon. Simply the best.
