Our stay in August started from overbooking. One week before arrival I sent an email to the hotel asking for a preferred payment method. However, from their response I learnt that overbooking has occurred, they did not have our reservation and they only have a free room two days after our arrival, so they can postpone our reservation. That's all. No apology, no explanation, no phone call to me, even though my reservation had been confirmed by the hotel via email three months earlier (in the same correspondence) and I had timely paid a deposit (EUR 600, the payment confirmation was also provided to the hotel via email). We could not agree for the postponement since our plane tickets, car rental, sightseeing tours etc. were already booked for the primary dates, so I spent the whole day on email correspondence and calls to the hotel (they answered after a few hours and did not return my calls) to resolve this issue. I asked for a discount for our stay (yes, I asked, the hotel did not come up with any discount offer), because we had to urgently book another hotel for the first two days and we anticipated higher costs, not to mention the compensation for the stress experienced and time spent managing this last minute issue. In response, the hotel offered us a smaller room with no sea view for discounted price (EUR 120 per night, price for our room with sea view was EUR 180) for the first two days. We had no other choice, so we agreed to this solution, expecting that since the price difference was not that significant, the standard could not be either. Upon arrival, it turned out that the room was of low standard (photos attached). It was approximately 10 m2 and was located practically in the basement - we have one small window under the ceiling with a view of the hotel parking lot and car tires. The size of the bed was 140x200 and there was not even space on the floor to open a small suitcase. One of us had to sit on the bed to let the other move. Also the bathroom was really small - there was no place to put cosmetics and my husband had trouble turning around in the shower. Additionally, electrical sockets did not work - one in the bathroom and one by the bed. Next day we talked with the hotel manager about our situation. In our opinion, the room was definitely overpriced - this room cost us EUR 120 per night and was located practically in the basement! Additionally, we noticed that this room is not offered by the hotel on their website or ***********. The manager said that the standard price for this room is EUR 140, so they already gave us a discount to EUR 120. She also confirmed that if I hadn't sent the initial email asking for a payment method, we would have probably learnt about the overbooking only after arrival. We saw that further conversation was pointless and didn't want to spoil our vacation any further, so we ended it up here. After two days we got a nice, spacious room with a sea view. The disadvantage is that the hotel is located clos
