Because there are only so few rooms, you have a lot of privacy and always great spots on the beach. Either under palm trees or on the very comfortable beach beds. The beach is very well maintained. The rooms are stylishly furnished and offer more than enough space. The food was always of very good quality and varied. The staff is extremely attentive and helpful. We had a great time.

Our stay at the Waterlovers Beach Resort was absolutely amazing—a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Kenyan coast. This small, intimate resort is located right on the beach, offering stunning views of the ocean framed by swaying palms and lush trees. The entire property has a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and feel at home. We stayed in the villa with our group of eight, which was perfect for spending time together while still having plenty of space. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves at night was incredibly soothing. The resort provides plenty of loungers with beautiful beach views, as well as hanging beds and hammocks, making it easy to relax and soak up the serene environment. The ocean is just steps away, and it’s perfect for snorkeling. We were amazed by the vibrant underwater world, spotting countless starfish and colorful fish right off the shore. The staff at Waterlovers are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They offered great advice and assistance with organizing excursions, which made planning our outings effortless. The food was another highlight: a fantastic selection that catered to both children and vegetarians, with everything freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. The team’s humor and warmth, especially during meals, made us feel right at home. The small bar was another favorite spot, serving excellent cocktails made with fresh fruits. A special thank you to Abdullah, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He not only prepared amazing drinks but also included our children in the fun by showing them how to make mocktails and letting them help behind the bar—a truly special experience for them! For those who want to explore, there’s a small shopping area nearby with a supermarket and shops for souvenirs, adding a bit of convenience to the stay. Waterlovers Beach Resort is the perfect place to relax after a safari. Its serene location, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal spot to unwind and recharge. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and peaceful beach getaway!

Waterlovers Beach Resort is beyond words, and a real paradise. It is more of a smaller "boutique hotel" with only about 10 accommodations (suites, villa & penthouse), which gives a more authentic, calm and peaceful stay; as it almost feels like you have the place for yourself :). The staff is so lovely, kind and service minded and the food is very good. I especially enjoyed the dinners where the staff set the tables on the sand, making it feel like you were eating on the beach (which you kind of were as well). It has its own pool but being situated right by the beach you can reach the ocean with a few steps. The furnishing and decoration of the rooms, as well as the hotel in general, was so beautiful and provides an exotic, luxurious vibe, whilst still keeping the beautiful African details with a lot of local designs and constructions.

Waterlovers is a true piece of paradise. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had the most wonderful stay. The staff are AMAZING! They are so friendly & helpful & make you feel special. Whether it is some banter over breakfast or just chatting over a cocktail, they really do make you feel like you are surrounded by friends. The resort itself is beautiful. The rooms are magnificent with wonderful decor and huge bathrooms. The design of the resort makes it feel secluded and peaceful. There is a lovely pool and plenty of sun loungers. The food is also excellent. Breakfast is a wonderful choice of fresh fruits, freshly baked breads and pastries with homemade jams and granola. There is a cooked option too which is fantastic. Lunch and evening menus are also great with a good choice including local fresh ingredients. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary & the chef made us a cake to celebrate. It was so delicious and we shared it with all the staff as it was huge! Waterlovers is the place you dream of and it really does live up to what you hope it will be. The sand is white, the sun is warm and the Kenyan hospitality just makes everyone feel happy! We had such an idyllic stay & would go back in a heartbeat!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Waterlovers Beach Resort, and it all started before we even arrived! A huge thank you to Sandra, who went above and beyond to coordinate our stay, ensuring our transportation was arranged and that we were fully prepared to relax and enjoy the resort. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we fell in love with its intimate and thoughtfully designed layout. The Leopard Suite, where I stayed, was beautifully appointed, offering both comfort and character. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and truly dedicated to making our experience exceptional. A special shoutout to Lilian, Ali, and Abdallah, who were absolute superstars! Abdallah crafted the most beautiful and delicious cocktails—each one a masterpiece. The breakfasts were outstanding, with a delightful variety of fruits and savory made to order options to start the day, and we especially loved the fresh fish at dinner. Another highlight was the resort’s unique connection with nature—watching troops of monkeys pass through during the day was a fun and unexpected treat! We also appreciated the complimentary use of snorkel gear, kayaks, and paddleboards, which allowed us to explore the stunning sandbar each day. The crystal-clear waters and breathtaking surroundings made every outing an adventure. While the beach boys on Diani Beach can be persistent/annoying, they were never aggressive, and they do not approach guests within the hotel property. Overall, Waterlovers Beach Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. The perfect combination of luxury, nature, and top-notch hospitality ensures that we will most definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
