So many positives about the Althea Village. The hotel is set out just like a village, with pathways leading to small blocks. The grounds are well maintained, spotless plants and greenery always looking in the best condition. 3 pools, plus children's sections. Always sunbeds available, no early morning routine of placing towels to reserve. Plenty of space around the pools, so you are not crammed in. Pools are a good size, and a good depth. Food as all inclusive, their is breakfast, lunch and dinner, menu is varied and enough choice to suit most people. Snack bar also open during the day from 11 to 5. Drinks these are all inclusive drinks, the bar does serve premium/international drinks which you do have to pay for. Rooms, are all different, depending on occupancy numbers. Some have balconies or terraces. But all rooms are well decorated. the Beds are very comfortable. Rooms come with safety deposit box and fridge. All the staff are a big positive for the hotel, everything is done with the guest happiness and comfort in mind. The Entertainment team work hard to put on activities and entertainment during the day and evening. The hotel has a Gift Shop, Spa and Gym. Surrounding area has bars, tavernas, shops, less than 5 minutes away. Chania beaches, are only a 15 minute walk away, or you can take the bus from the main road. The beaches have sunbeds, parasols, showers WC's and bars. Transport, buses take you into Chania in 20 minutes. One bus passes the front the of the hotel, both bus routes 15 and 21 go along the main road, at the stop next to the BMW garage has a ticket machine or you can purchase on the bus, or buying on the app. If I visit Chania again, then yes I would stay at the Althea Village again.
