We were a family of 03, stayed here 2 nights, mainly for relaxation Reception - No one to receive guests or unload the bagage. After i unloaded the bagage someone from reception counter finally appeared at the entrance. You have to park your car outside, basically away from hotel walls, a bit of a concern. Rooms - Matress is like a rock no springs, worse than a basic foam matress. Had a hard time sleeping and woke up with body pain, mainly shoulders. They provide 03 whole 500 ml bottles of drinking water for a triple room per day, big deal. If you need more, got to pay 400 bucks for a 1l bottle. Now charging for extra water is fine, but asking a normal human being to live a day in Dambulla using only 500ml of water is a joke. If you need to earn more there are more ways to earn in leisure industry. There is a TV with very limited selection of channels. The AC was noisy, but it did its job. Food - They offer buffet for BF and Dinner. But you can't call it a buffet, the spread is very limited, desert corner is even worse. This may be fine for tourists who's sole purpose is sight seeing. But locals come here to relax and have a good time. Ordered a pina colada from pool bar, came without any Liqure in it. The hotel has very limited areas to relax aprtfrom rooms and pool. Its like asking the guests to go away after breakfast and return for dinner which doesn't sit well if you are a local who has seen Dambulla temple and Seegiriya. It screems locals are not welcome, but then why advertise, we choose it under a bank offer, but person at reservation said can give a better deal than bank offer, means they need locals as gueasts, but fails to live up to the expectation. Only plus point is staff at the restaurant and housekeeping, very pleasent and ever obliging. All in all not a hotel if you are a local who wants to relax with good food.
