We had the most fantastic time at Evolution. We started our holiday in the Philippines with a few days at Evolution doing our Open Water Course. It’s the best decision we made. The staff are brilliant, but the standout was our experienced instructor, Bran. He’s thorough and very calm, which made us feel safe and relaxed the whole time. We loved the fact our confined dives were in a confined area of sea, as opposed to a pool- this made us feel very comfortable for our first Open Water Dives. After we were certified, we completed our Deep Dive certification and got to dive with the Thresher Sharks. What an amazing experience, we feel very lucky to have done that. Again, Bran was a great instructor throughout. Have the Crepes at the Craic House! They’re the best we’ve had in the Philippines, I can’t find another one as good. You have to try out the local market area for food as well. The prawns and squid we had were cooked right in front of us and were delicious. Make sure you bring a good water bottle- no disposable bottles are sold or allowed on site for sustainability reasons (which owe loved). You’ll have the best time if you choose to stay here!

Clean room with strong AC Friendly staff Craig house food was delicious Dive equipment, boats and dive masters were top notch Gorgeous beach Thresher sharks galore...I probably should have started with that. Thank you, Nick, for fast replies to my many questions before I booked and continued service while I stayed.

A belated review from my visit to Evolution in February 2023, during which I completed my Open Water and Advanced PADI certifications. This trip did not disappoint. Right from the planning phase Nick and Matt were all over it like a rash with prompt responses to all my queries and helpful information. Everything from payment to the PADI learning materials was made easy. In person, they turned out to be absolutely awesome, kind and encouraging people with their only interest providing you with the best experience possible. For those fitness fanatics, Matt owns a crossfit gym on the island which blew me away. One of the coolest things about this resort is their passion towards conservations and sustainability of the surrounding marine environment. They live it! While I was there, we had world renowned environmental warriors giving presentations. Wild! A special thank you to my diving sensei and life hero, my Mexican instructor Denis. This guy lives and breaths diving and conservation. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from and hang out with him. The whole crew there, from the instructors to the hotel workers to the waitresses at the bar (which has amazing food!) are lovely people with an awesome welcoming attitude. All in all this trip has impressed upon me a real sense of importance towards marine conservation. I would highly recommend staying at this resort to anyone!

Had the most amazing experience at Evolution! Food is fresh and great, the menu is varied. Never really dived before as was super scared to try. Ended up taking the Padi Open Water course and Deep Adventure Dive where I’ve encountered Thresher Sharks with Bran!! Great diver and such a good coach: very professional, supportive and knowledgeable. I couldn’t have had a better experience. Nick the manager has the best playlists I’ve listen to in the Philippines. We were and still are sad to have left with my boyfriend and cannot wait to come back! Thank you Evolution you’ve been great!

My girlfriend and I came here for 4 days of diving and it was so good that we actually ended up staying an extra night. We were able to dive 4 days with the thresher sharks and booked every dive that we could while we were there to all the other sites. We did 5 dives a day on most days and did 22 total. We were surprised at how good the macro diving was at many of the dive sites around Malapascua... especially Gato Island, Chocolate Island, and the House Reef. We counted 7 different frogfish on the house reef during a night dive along with seeing the mating mandarinfish and many other critters. The rooms were great. Very clean and everything you need. The food was terrific with a great selection of entrees. We ended up eating at the Craic House for every meal and didn't feel the need to go anywhere else since we didn't feel it could be any better. I cannot say enough about the management and the operation. Everything is precisely fine-tuned and extremely well run. We are the type of people that like to dive as much as possible and we were able to do 5 dives a day. For a night dive at Chocolate Island there was a 4 person requirement to make the trip... only 3 people had signed up and the management staff still ran the charter for us. Much appreciation! I will also say that this is the best operation for thresher shark dives. They get to Kimud Shoal before all the other boats arrive and do 2 dives there every day. We had multiple thresher sharks on all 8 of the dives we did there and even counted 6 at one time on a dive. Incredible experience. I cannot recommend this resort enough and many thanks to the owners and all the wonderful employees for all of their hard work in making this stay so wonderful.
