The Owls

The Owls is very central but the room was quiet. The main entrance is from the back, where the parking is. Our bed was very comfortable and the room a good size. The owners gave helpful advice such as places to dine. The breakfast options included yoghurt and fruit and granola.

Such a quaint and quirky b&b. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. It had everything required for a comfy night's sleep. A very comfortable bed with lush full pillows and crisp, clean bedding. There was tea making facilities included and a small tv. We were facing the high street but hardly heard the traffic passing due to excellent double glazing. Ian and Jan were perfect hosts, friendly and informative. The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and piping hot. We loved our stay at The Owls and will definitely go back to stay with such lovely hosts in a lovely b & b.

Just returned from a two night stay at The Owls. Firstly, excellent location right on the high street, but with the advantage of a large secure car park at the rear. My room was large, very clean and comfortable. I was a wee bit concerned initially as my room was facing the high street so thought it might be noisy, but the excellent double glazing meant it was very quiet and I had a great nights sleep in the comfortable bed. The shower was so powerful, amazing. Breakfast was a highlight. You fill out a questionnaire and just tick exactly what you want and when, and it is all freshly cooked and served at your allotted time. I have stayed in 5* hotels in London who couldn’t manage to compete with Jo’s breakfast. Very reasonable cost, would definitely return when next in Builth Wells.
