We were part of a 40 person group who came to this place for an event. All rooms (16 we were told) were booked 3 months in advance, with negotiated prices. But, in the day of the event, once we got there we had the surprise to find out that 4 rooms just vanished. They only had 14 4* rooms and another 2 were already occupied by other. They said it was a mistake... So, we ended up overbooked with 4 rooms. We had to choose between a pension (also theirs) located 500m away from the resort (large rooms, but almost 2*, which smelled of Raid spray) or 2 rooms on the hotel boat at the main location. There, the rooms were as big as the bathroom in the 4* rooms. Let's say a 2*. Trust me, if it weren't for the event, we would have been on the first boat out of there. We werr assured that we would pay 50% of the 4* rooms. During the stay we discovered that the AC was just for show and the water staid in the bathroom (the hotel was a little inclined). The best part was saved for the end of the stay: the bill. The 50% deduction was just... oraly :). If for a 4* room prices were negotiated to 300 EUR per stay, we, on the boat, received a bill of 240 EUR. Exactly 80% of the price for the 4* room for sleeping in a small sauna. Sorry, hotel boat cabin. More than the official prices on the site, with negotiated prices... Explanation? "You have a 50% deduction on the room, but you pay for breakfast 20€" Even the breakfast was more expensive than online... Really? How come? In adition, we had other stuff on the bill, excursions and meals which we did not take. With a bit of nerves we took those off. The owner was cautious and went away on the previous day. It's like he knew he would have complaints, maybe even more than the previous day when one of the rooms left and had some issues with stuff billed for nothing... So we ended un talikng to a lady who was on the phone with the owner, telling him our complaints. The best part was when we heard "take down 50€ from the bill to leave me alone and to Hell with them". "They'll end up paying less than in the village" (not true, trust me) I was so disgusted by these remarks I did not have the power to argue any more. We accepted the "deduction", paid 189 EUR even though we should have paid 150 as negotiated. All I wanted was to run as fast as I could from that place and to never hear from this owner ever again. Conclusion: + the enployees. They were great! Too bad they work there... - the owner and everyting related to billing And if you want fish, better go to a fish reastaurant nearby. Some of them were pretty hard to chew... Do you still want to go there? I hope you end up in a 4* room. They are nice (some of them had a problem with the water) and spacious. But be sure to have all the costs in advance and in writing. In writing, ok? Oral... doesn't count :)
