Great hotel with great facilities. Lovely pool which was clean and cool and just what was needed. Friendly staff. Great room with a balcony. Very clean. Excellent food choices generally except as a veggie who doesn’t eat fish the choice was limited.

Great golf break at El Rompido. 8 of us stayed and all had a great time. Played North and South courses twice and both in great condition, greens excellent and ran very true. One small issue would be cart paths were a bit bumpy but no detraction from golf. Clubhouse bar had a good selection of snacks and bar meals and usual alcohol selection, beer €7.00 a pint. Hotel rooms very clean and modern and beds comfy. But no tea/coffee facilities which was a bit of a surprise. For dinner we were given our own table which was nice. We were on the golfers all inclusive which started at 1700 and ran till midnight. Bottles of wine on each table and replenished quickly. Buffet was very good with good selections and separate grill area which on 2 of the 4 nights we were there served good steaks. One night we also very much enjoyed the large prawns😁. Breakfast buffet very good as well with all the normal items you’d expect. 3 bars including pool one which served standard selection of drinks. The Galea bar had a TV and we were there for the 2 champions league semis and it got crowded very quickly and was a bit of an issue to get served. Used the spa facilities once and pool, jacuzzi and sauna all good. I would say it is geared to golf groups but would think during summer there’s less of them. Walked into El Rompido one morning and that took 15 mins and was very pleasant. But did the free train too which was fine. No complaints at all and would return

im asking we are visiting soon does anyone know if golf buggies are availble to hire daily ??and also anyone know how far it is to the beach ???

I’m writing this review with genuine disappointment after what should have been a relaxing holiday at this resort, booked primarily for my husband to enjoy the golf facilities. On the evening of Saturday 2nd August, while dining in the buffet restaurant, our party briefly left our table and I went to use the restroom. In that short time, a female staff member approached my husband and handed him a piece of paper with her personal mobile number on it. He told me what had happened, and I confirmed the number through WhatsApp, identifying the staff member as someone working in the restaurant that evening. This type of behaviour is completely inappropriate and unacceptable in any professional setting—let alone at a resort that markets itself as a luxury, family-friendly destination. As a woman and a paying guest, I felt disrespected and extremely uncomfortable knowing this could happen so casually and so openly. The resort is known to attract male travellers, some visiting without their partners, and this sort of unprofessional conduct raises serious concerns. It undermines the integrity of the environment and leaves a poor impression, particularly for couples or families who come here expecting a respectful and professional atmosphere. I have raised this issue with the management directly and hope it is taken seriously. But I also feel it’s important to share this experience publicly, so that other wives, partners, and solo travellers are aware of what occurred during our stay. We came here expecting a high standard of service and left with a very different feeling. A beautiful setting does not excuse behaviour that crosses personal and professional boundaries

The Hotel is good, staff attentive, food of a high standard. The golf element however left a lot to be desired. Rude course staff, uniformed changes to our golfing itinerary and the word NO never far from been spoken, and abruptly. We have used this resort in excess of 10 times in the past 15 years, always staying for 1 week on a semi all inclusive basis. Summary, hotel is good, golf organising and attitude of the majority of the golf club staff poor. Our groups requirements were clearly disregarded due to competition(s) that were book after our confirmation (we booked 11 months in advance). Unfortunately, the consensus of the group is to strike El Rompido form our list.

Great hotel, excellent food. Drinks at bit expensive! Two fantastic golf courses in near perfect condition, only drawback was pace of play very slow with no marshalling & pro shop were disinterested . Would recommend and will return as a group.
