Wow - what a spectacular place to stay near Punta Sal! We loved the view from our very comfortable and spacious room and thoroughly enjoyed being served breakfast on our veranda as well as lunch and dinner if we so desired. The staff was very attentive, and we never had to wait long for food and drinks. All the meals we tried at El Samay were excellent and fresh made, especially the fresh caught lobster. Our favorite things to do were to lay on the double chaise lounge on the beach and watch the waves come in and also wade in the refreshing pool with our cocktails in hand. For a peaceful/tranquil retreat, this is hands down the best place to be. And Mancora is only 30 minutes away for the nightlife party scene, although we recommend taking an Uber or Taxi because there are checkpoints and pot holes to watch out for. And also let someone at the hotel know you will be out late so that they can let you in when it's past midnight. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at El Samay and highly recommend this peaceful hidden gem of a place. Lars and Lucero

This hotel is exactly as it’s described. 5 stars are not good enough to rate it. People are very kind and make you feel like home all the time. I will come back any time. My kid loved the little pets they have and the peaceful environment.

This property was exactly what we were looking for: a quite, tranquil little piece of paradise. The sun, the beach and the stunning gardens and grounds made this a super setting. The service was stellar! Very attentive and helpful staff. The food available (for breakfast, lunch and dinner) was delicious! We loved the patacones, causa, chaufa, arroz con mariscos, pastas and the white fish with maracuja sauce, yumm! We swan (cautiously) in the ocean every day! It was amazing! We needed to unplug and recharge our batteries and this place allowed us to do exactly that! Would love to return one day!

Lovely little property with a wonderful staff. They provide an excellent breakfast. Other meals are not expensive (the fish was excellent). The price is very reasonable. The property is quiet and secluded. Pool is great.

I booked this hotel for my mother, wished her to have some relaxing time close to the beach and I was not dissappointed. They have the best costumer service and treated my mom very well. Plus, the facilities are nice and the food was great. I strongly recommend this hotel!
