Late afternoon staff friendly and helpful. Lobby has been renovated nicely however … cockroach in hall, fridge had a constant rattle, when toilet room light was on the fan was extremely loud, carpet looked dirty, we couldn’t see out our window due to heavy white streaks, cracked tiles in many areas - wouldn’t stay here again.

Old hotel, but was clean. The ground floor looked renovated and very pretty. The breakfast was ok. My husband and I needed a spur of the moment place to stay while we were traveling with our dogs. We felt safe. It was quiet during our night stay. Our room was old, but clean; which is important to us. The cost for our night stay was a good deal.

This is very attractive from outside and kitchen area is brand new. The entire hotel is trapped in the 80-90s and just disgusting to say the least. I have stay at other locations with LaQuinta. But this one in Columbia SC is a very very and extremely disappointing

The hotel and staff was awesome, very clean for being pet friendly. The mattress was awful due to being able to feel the springs. Did not sleep well at all. We most likely won't return to this particular location.

I will never stay there again! The night desk clerk was extremely rude. So rude that we checked out and went next door. When I checked in she was in the lobby talking on her cell phone and watching TV. With a huge sigh she walked over to the desk, never stopped talking on her cellphone while she checked me in. . I parked under a sign the stated for LaQuinta guest. She asked me to move to a dark isolated parking lot. I didn’t want to. She could not offer a good reason. Told me to park in the Shoney’s parking lot. They will tow. Then told me to park in the handicap spots. Where I could be ticketed. The whole time she was talking to someone on her cellphone. Her attitude was surly and hateful. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. She acted as if she were doing me a favor letting me patronize the motel. I told her to check us out and refund my money, which she did but not until I brought her both keys and she inspected the room. By then my wife brought back the keys and had to insist she inspect the room while we were still there. I checked into the motel next door which is where we will stay from now on.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Upon arrival the doors were locked and I and another guest had to wait for someone to come and let us in. The rooms need quite a bit of updating and are a tad shabby. But since I'm mostly concerned with cleanliness, it was all good.

New clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Friendly service. Convent location. Newly remodeled. Decorating & decor are nice. Great price. I have to write 200 characters, so I keep typing, but don’t have anything more to say.

Bugs in the room. Ac not working. Sheets felt damp and clammy. Left in the middle of the night. We had left Florida and evacuated from Hurricane. On our way to Ohio. Got there about 11p.m. And left at 3:30 a.m. couldn’t take it any longer.

The lobby looks nice but the rooms have NOT been updated. The first room I was given had plaster coming down from a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom and a mold smell. The room I finally took had carpet that was shredded in spots.
