My husband and I were traveling through KY on our way home from celebrating our anniversary at the Ark Encounter. He loves log cabins and while I had seen some in the area we traveled to, none were reasonably priced or available on short notice. I found this place on google maps, I believe, booked it after dinner and pulled off the hwy to stay the night. Affordable, nicely located, absolutely lovely cabin, and easy to check in and out. So much more than we expected to find last minute.

First off the bat, their website is very deceiving. The cabins are very close together and close to a busy road. You will hear road noise all night. Upon arrival, we noticed our cabin was not filthy, but the counter was not wiped down, there were cob webs from the ceiling beams and a blind in our bedroom had not been cut to the right size. Therefore it was hanging off the window sill. The first day we were there, we received a text about extending our stay another night for $75. I ignored it. The second day, I received the same text about staying an additional night for $75. I ignored it again. When it was time to check out, we left the cabin much cleaner than when we arrived. After we were gone for about an hour I received a text saying we were responsible for the blind in the bedroom hanging down and we would be charged. I politely text them and said we left it the way we found it. They would not listen and amazingly enough said the blind would cost us $75. The same amount that they kept hounding us for over our stay for an additional night. I kept arguing with them about this bogus charge. They kept getting more rude and obnoxious and even asked if I was mentally stable just for sticking up for our rights. They ended up charging $100 to my bank account for their blind. Bottom line is please listen to this warning that these people that own this place are crooks and cons and will rip you off! AVOID STAYING HERE! YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF AS WELL! I hope that karma catches up with these scumbags and this place will go bankrupt!

The proprietors are awful, won't answer or return phone calls. Called three times and they wouldn't answer. Finally on the day I was supposed to check in they started responding. Tried to communicate with them and they said to "go away". Wouldn't refund my money. An awful, terrible place, beware.

Amazing place to stay to just get away from big city's and its close to alot including beautiful lake cumberland. Staff is super friendly check in and out made very easy..when I go to this area again will definitely stay here and I recommend the same to others

Very nasty and hateful owners. Not on only I was lied to on booking site, they also insulted me for asking about discrepancies in what was advertised and to explain what's available inside the cabin, they called me bigoted stuff and kept sending me harassing messages spewing their hatred, on the booking website.

I wish 0/5 was an option. Canceled our reservation booked aug 26 for sept 3-4. Stating there was no way I had confirmation, turns out I did but didn't matter the owner had nothing available or working. Told me I would receive my money next week and my family was out of luck on a place to stay on a busy Holiday weekend.
