Blau Colonia Sant Jordi Resort

We stayed as a family for 10 nights. We were happy with the hotel…it appeared clean and modern. First impressions were great. Breakfast and pools were lovely. They don’t have the big slides you may expect in some resorts but this was fine for us. Entertainment really good at night. The entertainment team worked hard and were very friendly. Cleaning staff great too. We had some issues with our lock for the room. We would return to the apartment and key wouldn’t work at all. This happened a few days in a row and eventually someone listened to us and the way they resolved it for us was to change rooms and no issues after that. Perhaps a follow up call afterwards would have been nice or a sorry for the inconvenience caused but we did not receive this. Mostly German and Spanish people come here. To communicate with the staff was somewhat difficult having no Spanish, maybe something we needed to think about for our next visit to Spain. Perhaps we should have had more Spanish. In the evening time we went to the restaurant. It was fine and convenient. As other people have mentioned they close the water self service which was a little off-putting especially in such a hot environment. One or two of the nights we did get Prosecco on arrival which was a really nice touch and added to the atmosphere. On our last evening after a long day for my kids training in another pool, my two boys who did not like any of the desserts provided went looking for doughnuts which were available some nights and not others. The doughnuts were small and they both took about 3/4 each. Baring in mind we had spent thousands to stay here for ten nights in a superior suite with half board . We were approached out of the blue by guest manage Aron in the middle of our meal. He came to speak to me in front of my children and to reprimand us for taking more than one doughnut and that the kids should have some ‘consideration’ as some of the other guests were looking for doughnuts. I found this shocking- this was meant to be a buffet meal and perhaps he should have directed this issue with the catering staff rather than the guests. My children are young and don’t eat huge amounts in general. It put a downer on the last night of our holiday, a night we were excited about as there was going to be a pool party, a night we wanted to enjoy. Instead I felt upset by this scolding off in the middle of our (last) meal. It dampened the spirits and it makes it very hard to imagine wanting to return to the hotel. Perhaps they need to have signs beside the doughnuts when they are available to only take one per evening meal… that way it would be clear. I would imagine these doughnuts were left overs from the breakfast and that is why there were so few, available on some nights and not on other nights. Overall a nice hotel, just a pity about some of the customer service.

We stayed as a family the last week of October. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel. Entertainment of some kind was put on each evening and the food, although a buffet, did vary enough each day so it didn’t feel too ‘samey’. If I was to visit again, I’d probably stay on b&b basis rather than half board though as there are some bars and restaurants next to the beach just a ten minute or so walk away and I felt the decision made by the hotel to not even allow water to be included with your evening meal a step too far and frankly, poor customer service. That said, the lobby and evening entertainment area was clean and tidy as were the pool areas. Some of the older bar staff who served at the bar in the evenings could do with a lesson in not allowing their thoughts/personal opinions to be conveyed quite as obviously to their facial expressions and comments. By the time when we were served by Nachos a few days in, it was a very welcomed so thank you. Main plus points: Cleanliness of public areas and general standard of hotel rooms. Quiet location but within easy walking distance to the beach. Spacious resort. Negatives: Due to a flight delay we stayed one night less than booked and the hotel still insisted on charging us their local tax for the day/night we weren’t even staying there. Some of the older bar staff were far from polite. Upon arrival on the first evening we asked the hotel lobby staff for an additional chair for our balcony as well as a blood covered plaster to be removed from our bathroom ceiling, as of the last day, the chair never materialised and the plaster remained stuck to the ceiling much to the amusement of my daughter who named it Percy.

This is our second time here and we are delighted. The first time we came without our children but this time we have come with them because the animation team is very good and they are always looking after the children and doing activities with them. Every night there is a different show. The room is completely renovated and is quiet. The bathroom layout is maybe a bit different from what we are used to but we like it too. Excellent food with a lot of variety. Staff very attentive and always with a smile. We will definitely come back.

Upon my recent stay at Blau Colònia Sant Jordi in Majorca, I felt a mix of emotions which I believe future guests ought to be aware of before making their booking. While there were several aspects that genuinely impressed us, certain areas left us feeling rather disappointed. Our foremost gripe revolved around the food at the buffet. Specifically, the meat served left a lot to be desired. Although not undercooked, the dishes simply did not meet the expectations one would have for a hotel of this caliber. The taste, presentation, and variety were all subpar, which made our dining experiences rather uninspiring. The pool area too posed another concern. To secure a spot next to the pool, one had to wake up with the sun and mark a sunshade with a towel. This practice made pool-side relaxation feel more like a competition, which did not resonate well with our holiday spirit. Adding to the stress was the apparent fatigue amongst the staff members. They seemed to be working excessively long hours which undoubtedly affected their energy levels and hence, the quality of service. While it is understandable, it did impact our overall experience in a negative way. The resort's location is worth noting as it is somewhat remote from Palma. This could be a drawback for some, but the proximity to an expansive beach could make up for it, offering a delightful space to unwind and enjoy the sun. However, it wasn't all disappointments and grievances. The hotel does deserve credit for their

• Personnel agréable (en particulier l'équipe d'animation et du spa). • Équipements variés (tennis, spa, terrain foot / volley, salle de musculation, espace fitness / yoga, 3 piscines, tir à l'arc...) • Animations qualitatives, pour les adultes comme les enfants ; en particulier sur la période d'Halloween • Cadre agréable et calme : très bien paysagé, retiré de la ville, faisant face à des marais salants et à 600m de la plage. • Les bâtiments 1 à 3 ont été rénovés depuis 2018 mais, à date (novembre 2022), pas les bâtiments 4 et 5 qui restent de bonne facture mais offrent un style plus "années 80-90". • Nous avons été surclassés, le spa fut gratuit lors de notre dernier jour et le personnel des bars comme des 2 restaurants ne pousse pas à la consommation. • La situation de l'hôtel permet de visiter aisément toute l'île - en particulier si vois louez une (petite) voiture (très satisfaits de Wiber sur ce point, au passage) - tout en étant pas entassé à Palma et en profitant d'un écrin de verdure.

Mycket bra hotel Med underbar buffemat. Högljudd matsal med många skrikande barn. (Låt småbarnsfamiljerna äta 1800) Många aktiviteter med tennis och Spa samt stort poolområde. Myggen var besvärliga på kvällarna

The staff were great and the cleaners. I just found the property needs updating and our shower was leaking all over the bathroom floor. Other that that an ok experience in paradise

A lovely quiet resort in Spring time when I visited, great value for money - pleasant and relaxing. Hotel is aimed at families and couples, food is decent buffet selection, staff are friendly. Comfortable and clean rooms, all the basics done very well. Close to miles of unspoiled coastline - the perfect location if you are active.

We stayed x6 nights, very smart and great quality resort. 10 min walk from x3 incredible beaches. 45 minute drive from Palma airport, 30 mins from Cala D'Or, and 1 hour drive to amazing caves! Free access every day to heated spa pools is huge bonus. Ceoliac / Gluten-Free food was a big factor and concern when booking, but the buffet food and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Buffet labelled well of allergens and chef was accommodating everyday to request things like gluten-free pizza, pasta, bread, chocolate desserts. Highly recommend this resort and will go again!
