Let me start off with saying that 75% of the say was amazing, it was just a shame that our dinner experience was awful. I would happily stay here again, but I wouldn't recommend eating here at all, which unfortunately does defeat the point of staying here as there aren't many places to eat nearby. The staff at the hotel are amazing. From when we checked In and when we checked out, they were brilliant. They made such an effort to ensure my fiancee and I (and our puppy) were happy. The front of house staff are a credit to the hotel. The spa area was lovely too. Our room was lovely too. Due to having our puppy, we stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms and it was beautiful. The room next door to us had another dog in and it is safe to say we didn't hear their dog once so the rooms are very quiet. The reason I have given them 3/5 stars is due to our awful dinner experience. We are members of the Luxury Restaurant Guide which you pay £100+ a year to be a member of. A perk of it is that you get a complimentary bottle of bundles during your stay. I must start with saying I know full well that they get a vast amount of members come here, so saying they didn't know what it was is not acceptable as a reason. Upon arrival to dinner, we made a waitress known that we a members and showed a print out, hard copy f the voucher that entitled us to the drink. I know the waitress as dealt with it before as she served my in laws when they used theirs only 5 months before. The manager then came to speak to us and questioned the voucher and we then had to show her the app you get as a member. After a rather embarrassing 5-10 minutes of trying to sort this out, we were shown to our seats which was to the back of the restaurant in the corner which was fine. We ordered our food and the complimentary bottle arrived. The Manageress came again to us and demanded to see the app again, pretty much snatching it from my partners hands. We were both gobsmacked by her rather aggressive actions... and we were confused as she had already taken the vouch from us. Again she was questioning things, so much so, when she left, a table that we befriended earlier in the day came over to us and asked if everything was ok as they overheard the manageress... they were sat 6 tables away, that is how loud she was. When the mains came (we didn't order starters), my lamb cutlets were incredibly overcooked, my partners were cooked to perfection. Not once did any waitress come over to us. I waited some time to see if they were to check if the food was ok, not once did they check. I wasn't looking for anything other than a replacement for some that weren't over cooked (especially as they cost £30!). Eventually I decided that I would just eat them as no one was coming. Yes I could have gone to find someone, but I thought I would just eat it. I made a comment when they collected the plates about the over cooked lamb and that I ate it but next time I recommended they checked in to make sur
